This media platforms have done nothing but destroy creativity, quality of music and artistry. In the 90s music charts reflected how popular songs, albums and artists were becoz of physical record sales. Which was a true reflection of sales. And that was a way to measure an artist success. But due to this platforms and music being distributed and bought digitally rather than physical records it opens doors for false numbers. And constant reports abt streams create a narrative abt who is the best artist even though in actual fact it's the quality of the music and nothing else that determines who is best. Unfortunately some artist benefit as a result even with little to no talent. And also artist who are talented get overlooked. I mean Pretty Ugly, Jay Joddy, Tyson Sybateli and many more are overlooked coz of this. And we as listeners have been swayed to favor artist who are not even that great coz of these false no. Dats is why I dnt like industry plants coz they steal away the glory from deserving artists.

Doesn't you having less listeners than you do followers still indicate poor fan retention? Cause think about, it's like having 100k followers on Ig but only 800 likes on every post. Nobody believes that you actually have this amount of people following you but rather you bought followers. I think a kuch closer listener to follower ratio indicates actual fan engagement than anything else. In this case I'd say Usimamane has a more engaged audience (from what you've showed me) than Reece cause the Ratio of follower to listener is closer
