near the end she talks about monetizing our data using a reference to Air BnB, but I think a better analogy would be like the music industry: you use my song or lyrics you pay me.

Here after the documentary. I found it very interesting. My take aways were that our collective consciousness was exposed as well as social platforms. I think Cambridge Analytica was the perfect storm of data and nefarious politics. In a way, Trump was ahead of the curve but the tactics downright manipulated people’s individual choice. That said, the individual needs to be aware of what’s being shared to us from political campaigns, peers and even news outlets.

Do you honestly think that Trump came up with it? Self-righteous privileged Baby Boomers are not capable of implementing, let alone imagining this tactic. Let's not give Trump credit -- someone did it (and all the thinking behind it) for him.

what i wonder about is that both Chis Wylie and Brittany Kaiser claim to be researchers/phds before working for CA, however there isn't any of their scientific work on google scholar

The video speaks for itself. Soft power is the reason everything is watched and the more you know about it the less it works. That being said this breakdown video of how it works will not appear as featured digest and search results or randomly in your feed as powers that be do not want you to know it.

Do they collectors stay current? The only thing we can count on is change and people change their minds and points of view with information -is the up-dating taking this in mind??
