WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It (Exciting Pro Wrestling 3 in Japan) is a professional wrestling video game released on the PlayStation 2 console by THQ and developed by Yuke's Future Media Creators. It was released in Europe on November 16, 2001, in the United States on November 19, 2001 and in Japan on January 24, 2002. The game is part of the WWF SmackDown! (later renamed WWE SmackDown vs. Raw, then WWE and now WWE 2K) series based on the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) professional wrestling promotion. It is also the sequel to WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role and was succeeded by WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth. This was the first game in the series to be featured on the PlayStation 2.

@aDg 2k18 WWF War Zone had a better commentary than this game though. Plus it's playable coz you can make your own combos like (⭕ + ⬆️) (⬛ + ➡️) (🔺+ ⬇️) (❌ + ⬅️). Until WWF Attitude get rid of it and actually make the game harder and you have to do a Tony Hawk's Esque Combination to do a fracking simple move that you can easily do in real life.

The only gripe I have in story, is that Austin is so overpowered. He reverses literally everything, then when you try to hit a move, right on Austin, nothing happens, he hits you with that move. Then he’s literally on top of you, you’d be lucky to hit a move, now sure, I’m not the best gamer in the world, and I can say I’m pretty bad, but it still needs mention.

When I first got this game in late 2001, I didn't have a memory card for the PlayStation 2 when I got the system for Christmas. So me and my sister used to leave the game on all night long and play the game the next day, since we couldn't save any wrestlers we used in Season mode to unlock the hidden items in the game, or any wrestlers we created. Our parents often scolded at us for that because we almost never slept, but we couldn't save without the memory card until I got Shut Your Mouth a year later. Hahaha good times !!

Alright, I'll give this game one major credit. I found you could create something completely pitch black, just like Noob Saibot. Having 8 man matches with a bunch of Noob Saibots was chaos, and I *loved* it, especially after beating season mode with a bunch of them so every title holder, tag partner and opponent was one of the Noob Saibots.

I personally cannot relate to all the hate for this game. I always really enjoyed it. Of course Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain are far better and this game has plenty of faults, but I guess it's always been a guilty pleasure for me then. When I pop this in from time to time I enjoy playing it and am never not entertained.

Agree it's a really fun game which is what video games are supposed to be. Yeah it doesn't look the greatest but people fail to realize that when this came out, people hadn't seen SYM or HCTP so their perception, was the one you and I share. It looked cool at the time. It looked better than the other SD games especially considering there was no HD TV yet. It plays great, was fun and at the time it looked perfectly fine. Not great as I remember wishing it looked like the intro even as a kid, but it wasn't bad enough to make me question it. It really is a guilty pleasure and I loved the season mode because the stuff they included in it was mind blowing. Seeing the milk truck and not understanding how you made it appear was a sublime experience. You never knew what you'd see next even if you had to restart it a bunch of times. Awesome game and made me get these sick ass lebron's that looked exactly like the blue honeycomb design of the menu

Great Review ^^ In 2001 when this game came out, X-Pac was in his X-Factor stable with Justin Credible and Albert =) What really is strange about this game is if you go into stables you will see their is a faction called The Alliance which consisted of the dudleys, raven rhyno and tazz but their is no DDP RVD, Booker T or any other Alliance members in the game. I wonder were they planned for this game ?

My friend Christian and I loved the awful commentary. I created X-Pac in this game and made it so that Taz and Michael Cole called him that in their commentary. However, their pronunciation of 'X-Pac' always sounded weirdly guttural to us. Instead of saying 'X-Pac', they would go 'EXXHHH-PACCHHH!' This is something we would would always impersonate as kids with each impression being more exaggerated than the last. By a certain point, we were just hacking up our lungs!

I remember being highly shocked and disappointed that the Invasion angle with the WCW/ECW talent wasn't in the game. I felt this game was a step down from Know Your Role. Know Your Role was much more enjoyable gameplay wise. JBI felt clunky at times due to the game having so much memory space on it. The music played during the ending credits when you finish storyline mode is awesome though. The music makes you emotional almost.

I really like this game. It was the first Smackdown game I've ever played, and I have some fine memories beating all my friends at this one haha. Good review as always. But you forgot to mention that the Smackdown Fist Stage is in this game too. Even with this, still a low number of arenas to choose, but better than the other 2 games before that.

I created probably the most legit Rob Van Dam and Booker T in this game. I seriously would update RVDs clothes every week depending on what he wore that week. I put in so much work trying to design his outfit exactly how he had it. Late 90s early 2000s was such a good time to be a kid.

I remember the anticipation and excitement for getting ready to get and play this game and when I got the demo disc I was stunned at how unimpressive it was once the entrances started up for my 1st match. I started thinking that there would be no way the game would be this on release day?! So like the optimist I was I got the game and was very disappointed. I had beautiful games like tekken tag and ssx and I expected just bring it to be solid like those games in the graphics department. 19 years later and it is still sitting in my collection to be viewed at as a teachable moment to never be a fool again, especially if you play a demo of a game first. 😉

If I was to create a WWE Game that adds something from all 5 I would add this: Just Bring It! Entrances with Howard Finkel Annoucing the Wrestlers from Just Bring It! Backstage: Just Bring It! Season Mode: Shut Your Mouth Roster: All 5, with different attires for each wrestler that appeared more than once Match Types: In all 5 Expand fighting in the crowd Keep the 8 men in the ring from Just Bring It! Add Michael Cole and Tazz on Commentary, just for the fun of it. Arena's: add all of the arena's in all 5 of the games Add the in-game Raw and Smackdown intro That's pretty much it.

You can actually put people through the hell in a cell roof on this and the other game before. Have to use power moves in middle or finisher I believe. Look it up. Not as easy as later games but can be done.
