Spotlighting Georgetown Law's Class of 2024: Tyler Bates, L'24

Tyler Bates, L’24, is the President of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and an e-sports commentator well known in the world of Epic Games’ 'Rocket League.' Hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Tyler chose Georgetown for its diversity and vibrant student community. As BLSA President, he led the largest affinity organization at Georgetown Law, which hosts over 70 events annually and fosters connections among Black students and alumni.
In the video, Tyler proudly wears the 2023-24 BLSA shirt, symbolizing the enduring legacy and culture of BLSA. The shirt features several influential Georgetown Law figures including Dean Everett Bellamy, Professor Patricia A. King, Judge Norma Holloway Johnson, L'62, and BLSA’s founder Curtis White, L’71.
