That’s a sick rifle setup for sure. I run a custom built 18” AR with a Proof stainless barrel that hammers with 77gr reloads.. FYI most custom bolt guns are not even 1/4 MOA. You might get lucky and print one once, but if you shoot 5 groups it’ll probably average around 3/4 minute - which in reality is amazing for a gas gun

Check out the Bobro mlok QD light mount. Super easy to take on and off as needed, no picatinny required. For your optic you could buy a TRYBE Optics Enhancer. That way when you need more magnification you can turn your NF into a 2-16 and in screw the enhancer and place it in your pocket when you don’t need it. I use one on my 1-10 and it turns it into a 2-20
@HeronMarkedBlade-ef7zz2 жыл бұрын
What's that do to the eye relief and light gathering?
@stephenedwards50632 жыл бұрын
In my personal opinion, eye-relief stays the same, but at higher magnification you definitely have a little less room for error due to shadowing. The biggest issue is definitely the change in glass quality. This definitely depends on the quality of your optic. If you have cheap glass to begin with, expect a SLIGHT change in quality, but the pros completely outweigh the cons. If you rank your glass quality 10/10 it will definitely turn it into 9/10 but this is only at the higher magnification levels. You won’t notice a difference until you zoom in about 60 to 70%. So if you have a 1-10 LVPO expect to see a change once you hit 6x but remember it doubles the magnification so you’re 6x would be 12x with the enhancer. So to me, I expect a tighter eye box and loss in glass clarity at 12x anyway. Also be aware of the weight of the enhancer I’ve ran it I made and high tier, LVPO and haven’t had an issue I’ve even dropped it while attached and it didn’t cause and problems but most people are really particular on adding heavy objects around their glass. Tbh I can’t complain order one and if it sucks send it back.

@JoseChung212 жыл бұрын
Excellent call on the 16". Based on your experience, would you say an illuminated reticle is a must have for an SPR?
@jimmybrodriguez2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not, the illumination is mainly for fast acquisition like a red dot. At magnification it makes the fine dots and lines less fine
@MellowFellowOfYellow2 жыл бұрын
I actually disagree and think illumination is always something it should have. Lighting is not always going to be favorable and anyone who has shot in thick woods can attest to how fast a jet black reticle can disappear among the trees. Some dim illumination gives you more contrast and makes it easier to find the sights. As long as you have proper alignment you are fine using illumination

@jimmybrodriguez2 жыл бұрын
There’s a lot of variables in there like barrel manufacturer, ammo, and how you maintain your guns. I don’t think it would be a hinderance though because some guys compete with 2 moa guns. It all just depends on what you’re trying to do with it.
