The first 2 forms having colorless attacks really interests me. I thought about exploiting types, but instead came up with Electrode to target legendary birds/Mewto, and Mienshao to target Pikachu decks. Maybe the rest of the deck is 2 Farfetch'd, balls, research, Giov, Sabrina, Potions. Just go super aggro.

Poliwrath might have good synergy with Greninja. Sure, having 4 phase 2 in your deck completely messes up the consistency. But if you can get both online you can deal a lot of passive damage and put pressure onto the opponent, as the extra 20 damage after an attack only brings it closer to getting defeated by Greninjas ability. Plus Poliwraths additional attack can lead to interesting situations where if the opponent attacks, he'll lose his Pokémon before your actual attacked. Most definitely not a meta threat, but a fun strategy to consider nonetheless

I was wonder why poliwrath wasn’t seeing more play just last night. I think it would be good with greninja but sadly pocket is a 20 card format so that’ll never work

Was just looking at Poliwrath in my list thinking "damn, that HP definitely makes him usable." Something like a 2x Poliwrath, 1x Butterfree deck?

What's interesting about his HP is that he actually beats Pikachu Ex even with the typing disadvantage. Froggyboy takes 2 hits from Pika Ex, which means he deals 40 damage using his ability, then Megapunch does the remaining 80. The deck I'm currently running is 2x Poliwrath, 2x Bruxish, and 2x Farfetchd. Poliwrath's ability makes Bruxish a really reliable revenge killer. The leek slapper is there for the Mewtwo match-up (2 bonks from the angry bird plus 1 revenge kill from luscious lips equals 1 dead thicc-thighed alien). Very fun aggressive off-meta deck!

i think tentacruel and greninja is a better fit, if they retreat their low hp and poisoned pokemon to the bench, then greninja can snipe them out of the bench.
