I never played Porygon Z again. Everytime I change the Energy from the enemy 70% of the time they get the Energy they need. This RNG was ridiculous..

I think that the best pokemon in this set is actually base magneton. 60 for 4 energy was always lackluster, the point of magneton was to use lt surge to powerup raichu. But this ser not only gave it an good evo so it isnt useless (and because it can power itself it can be slaped in alot of decks of any color) there is a third card that made it better, i would even more than magnezone: dawn. The effect of surge without completly handicaping magnezone and to any pokemon. Alot of pokemon use colorless energy in their attacks ( darkrai uses 2 darkness and a colorless). Dawn+magneton(+ luck) enables ramp in many decks. Darkrai, for example, in a great situation, can deal 20 damage turn 2, with magnemite in the back, and deal 100 Turn 4 if the magnimte is evolved to magenton and dawned by the electric energy. Thats 60 damage per turn in the first 2 turns ypu are able to energize your pokemon. The only basic that can deal that much damage that i can recall i kangaskhan with luck 4 heads. Damn even stamie ex tempo deals 55 per turn in those two turns. And, again, magneton isnt just a ramper anymore thanks to magnezone. Trully the best card in this meta thanks to this set.

If misty is capped then the card would be like flip 2 coins and get energy for amount of heads. Less chance of failing but less high roll potential

While Cresselia isn’t the strongest, it can definitely work if you play it right. Imagine healing 110 HP on a given turn. Run 2 Shaymin and 2 Gardevoir lines. If 1 Shaymin and 1 Gardevoir are out, you heal 50 per turn, and that can be increased with potions/capes if you need to heal more than that on a particular turn. (2 Gard + 1 Shaymin + 1 Potion + Cape + Main Energy = +110 HP) I always ran Lapras with Butterfree for extra healing but Shaymin let’s you use 4 less deck slots and get the healing started earlier than Butterfree, allowing a lead Cress to heal 30 HP per turn even if it’s out in front charging up and unable to attack yet. My list: 2 Cresselia 2 Gardevoir Line (1 Energy Kirlia) 2 Shaymin 2 Poke Ball 2 Professor 1 X Speed 1 Potion 1 Giant Cape 1 Rocky Helmet/2nd Cape/2nd Potion 1 Sabrina 1 Pokémon Communication Hope this gives everyone some ideas 😊 (I also like Giant Cape on Gardevoir as a way to take a hit from a Yanmega (or any 120 hit) so Cress doesn’t have to, then switch Gard out, with Shaymin slowly rehealing Gard over time. Cress can heal a lot but 120 is difficult to recover from over and over even with potion and cape.)

There’s splash tech cards like Yanmega and Mew, and then there are splash staples like Magnezone. I think with the attack power and HP adjusted even slightly higher (not even much) this could have been an EX. Nobody would have bat an eye. Absolutely love this card. But I do think the fact that it can go in everything means that it’s just better than most other stage 2 line you’re running. Making it a self sufficient and also a 1 prizer and actually good is a design choice EDIT: I think a healthier design if they wanted to keep it largely like this, would have been to make it cost 2 electric and one colorless for the attack. It could still attack on curve self sufficiently, but if you wanted to get a second attack in, then you would need to wait another turn without evolving to get a third electric energy

All this really shows is what happens you run into a garchomp deck that bricks energy. You didn’t even pull magazone until turn 8 or 9. That magneton in the active gets KO’d in like 80% of games by turn 6, then the deck is dead.

I pulled the Crown Rare Dialga in my second pack of this expansion 😂😂😂! But then I later pulled a normal Dialga from a wonder pick! So I have two! 😁

I’ve been loving Dialga! I’ve been running Dialga Staraptor, can you try that deck? Not sure if I’m just getting lucky, but I’ve won 10 in a row including against a Darkrai and Charizard decks. I don’t even have all the tool cards yet, missing Pokemon Communications and Rocky Helmet lol

none of these amazing decks on these youtube videos are working for me on the 45 win event. Im getting the most wins w Charizard Ex. Anyone else experiencing this? I have cards for all the new meta decks and they just brick on me or I get an opponent that has a deck w my weakness

That first deck you played with the Palkia did the classic built new deck with Druddigon but forgot to switch the energy to only water. Zero reason to have fire energy there. They seriously need to fix that from defaulting energy when building a list.

Getting matched up against a darkrai magnezone deck is the least fun I had in this game.

I've been using Magnezone-Electivire combo against the Cresselia drop event.

I've been chasing darkrai still dont have a single copy but the day of release I literally pulled FIVE YANMEGA EX after dumping all resources lol never felt so unlucky but the chase continues!
