Best part about this deck is that it is 3 star so long as you use the non-full art versions of the supporter cards. you can easily fulfill the 3 star or less requirement in solo missions.

The aggro decks from this new set all feel really strong. Infernape, Skarmory, Mismagius, Weavile, even Yanmega, Honchkrow, and Gallade all feel really good at pushing the greedy decks around.

They need to be stronger tbh. Was so hyped for Infernape EX but he's not strong enough currently to be a top meta deck. An offensive tool would be amazing for aggro decks. Something like +10 dmg every time you attack

Infernape with rocky helmet + Dawn is awesome

Infernape feels undertuned to where the meta is. It looks like it takes out darkrai EX on paper, but there's cape and darkrai hangs out on bench most of the time anyways. Then it fails to oneshot palkia and gets oneshot by palkia unless it is wearing cape itself. Discarding all energy on it is also kind of similar to charizard EX discarding 2 energy, but charizard kills everything with storm.

@@dark_rit Can do decently against Palkia if you're running Giovanni tbh. Main downside imo is how many things Infernape needs to be successful. Dawn, Gio, Cape, Communications... on top of only really being strong with Moltres. Really hope the expansion helps.

@@dark_rit Infernape is technically an aggro card, but most importantly it is a stage two as well. The two kind of do not go well together. That is also why Char works way better as its stage two status complements its ramp playstyle .

Really fun deck! Got 43 of my wins for the event with it to 12 losses! Idk how good that ratio to other players but relative to other decks I tried prior to and early on in the event this was insanely consistent. Skarmory alone wins games. Its the best starting Pokemon by far and is easily the MVP

I've played with this all day, it isn't that consistent. On top of sometimes not finding fossils, sometimes the game likes to put all the tools on the bottom. It is fun when it works though, but people who run this deep into tourneys must be going on sun runs.

I made a version of this deck as soon as I saw skarmory and bastiodon effects. Your's was more optimized with Geos. I had potions instead. I cleaned up during the competition because most games were early super quick with skarmory. I love this deck

I don't know if you've messed with it yet, but I've found a lot of success with Dialga Magnezone in the event, running just steel energy. Dialga fuels the colorless onto Magne line, and Magneton grants you at minimum 2 lightning energy and go into Zone.

Been having fun with an Exeggutor/Magnezone deck, haven't seen anyone cover it. Egg man is a good early game wall/sweeper while you set up Mags to sweep late. Each covers the other's weaknesses pretty well imo.

Seen on reddit, another good aggro with Skarmory is Wormadam. Pretty good on this event. Steel also eating real good on this expansion, lot of variation of decks.

I commented this on another video earlier! Used this for the 45 wins pretty easy. Glad to see it’s getting some attention. Another variation I’ve found is melmetal instead of bastiodon line where skarmory usually holds off long enough to charge up the melmetal late game.

I like it but have many bad beats too. I prefer Skarmory with Wormadam and a farfetch’d for aggro start and then potential big hits.

Yeah if you don't draw fossil it is so hard to win usually unless opponent is basic light to where skarm x2 can just beatdown for 50-60 a turn until you win or just lose. When you get the bastiodon with 3 energy on it though it feels great because it has a great start whacking for 50 and then a lategame finisher that can survive a lot.

Skarmory is nice but this deck has been really inconsistent for me due to being unable to find the Armor Fossil in a reasonable time frame. Skarmory's damage output is great but it is kinda frail even with Cape.

This deck is inconsistent. If you don’t have your Bastiodon online it’s an uphill battle. Played 5 games straight, didn’t get to play Bastiodon, lost all 5, the sixth game when I actually got Bastiodon online I won

alternate version if you dont have double Bastiodon line is to add some Wormadams which help fill the gap between the early game Skarmory and the late game Bastiodon. not quite as reliable but good until you can draw that second Bastiodon line!

I made this deck about 2 days ago, I have yet to see Bastiodon flip a single heads.... Update: I have flipped 20x so far and not a single heads. I laugh at anyone that thinks coin flips are 50/50.

celebi is overrated. idk why people afraid of it.. sure it can deal 200+ damage.. but they can also can deal 0 damage.. and its hp is not that high.. now there is lickylicky which has 100 guaranteed attack, not including coin flip. and only a 2 stages pokemon..

Sadly, Hitmonlee does NOT do 50 damage with 1 Lucario card. Guess the attack power has to be in the bold writing (right side of card) instead of underneath the attack name. (SIGH....)

It seems like bench attacks aren't really affected by anything, including type advantage. I guess they REALLY don't want bench sniping to be super strong.
