I was fuckin fuming! The tournament before the 6pm I fired 5x in, I played 1 hand. KK in BB I raised the 1st hand of the tournament from 1250 BB to 13K and 8♧9♧ called me. Flop 6710 rainbow. I've literally won $8.48 in the last 3mos. I've done nothing but lose in the most miserable ways. Losing KK to 82o on Q67 flop w running 8 8. Losing AA to K◇2◇ on running 2 2 to lose. I lost about 1000$ in a month playing NL2, NL5, and NL10. you deposit and you feel you cannot lose. After doubling or tripling your money now you cannot win any hand in 500 or more hands. and when you have a winning hand the other player has nothing so any raise he will fold.

You know, I really don’t know how I feel about the fact that I consistently get my money in with the best hand, generally to be sucked out on the river…. Like should I consider myself a good player because I get these idiots to shove when they are generally less than 30% to win the hand, or should I rethink my strategy since these donks constantly draw out on me…. It’s extremely frustrating knowing that there is randomness involved in the way the cards run out, but also at the same time, math, probability, all that BS dictates than in the long run you will be a winning player and consistently be in the black if you are getting your money in with the best hand… the biggest problem I run into these days, is that more and more players are willing to put their money in with any 2 cards, which greatly opens up the range of trash you can be playing against, and therefore you need to really expand the range of hands you could be playing against and take weird gut shot draws into account whereas 15-20 years ago, there may be one player at the table playing that style…. IDK, I think I’m just rambling at this point….
@bigbaggy2 ай бұрын
@KyleKnoblauch are you just "getting it in on the flop with 2 cards to come"? Then 30% are going to get there quite often through a tournament if you did this. Obviously stack size matters here so smaller bets may be in call on the flop but leave him some room for folding on turn.

Rejaming A9o for 10bb vs BTN steal in close to chip EV scenario, making tons of chips vs any BTN opening range. All of these plays are not only very profitable, but incredibly basic, obviously winnings plays to anyone who has studied poker tournaments.
