Sprained or Broken Finger?

Sooo.. my friends knee came down on my pinky and her knee rolled over it.. very painful but I delt with it anyways. Soon my finger popped and it didn’t hurt anymore. 2 weeks later, it started bending but it was only until 3 weeks I went to go get an X-ray which was yesterday.. I found out I broke my finger and may potentially need surgery to fix it.. it’s called something but I forgot it starts with a j and then fracture. I broke 2 bones the growth plate and another. My finger is slightly crooked now and very swollen. I’m gonna go check if I need surgery in 10 days so I’ll update y’all then..!

Yea thank you for a real answer. Quick straight to the point. I watched a whole video that basically told me i have these things called fingers and they dont have muscles and if you jam them it can cause swelling and pulling them makes it worse. I wish there is a way you can check out my finger. I punched a tree. The doctor said it’s not broke. It’s just very sprained or jammed. Now my whole knuckle is swollen for almost 2 1/2 months. And still swollen and hurts when I’ve bend it someways. I have no insurance and I’m not gonna go in that for my stupidity of punching a tree.

I suffered an “open tuff fracture” of my middle finger last Sunday, dropped a dumbbell on it and it looked like a crushed grape. Doctors said it will take 6 weeks to heal, I will surely try this method to keep swelling down.

I fell and broke my pinky finger 2 weeks ago. ER splinted it. I have no insurance nor $ for follow up with orthopaedic dr and rehab. Does anyone know any info how long to wear the splint? What finger exercises to do and how soon after can try moving it?
