Back when I uploaded this video in 2019, I just uploaded random videos for me and my friends on my youtube channel, not really caring about the number of subscribers or views I got. I didn't really expect it to get any more than a couple dozen views but I'm very glad that so many people have enjoyed it! Views aren't everything when it comes to subscribers though, sure, it certainly helps to have your videos seen by a lot of people, but they aren't going to subscribe to you if there is only one video on your youtube channel that they watch. You need to consistently upload content that your viewers want to see if you want to gain subscribers, people are much more likely to subscribe if they watch multiple different videos on your channel. Most people who watch this video aren't going to be intrested in my other content, which is mostly puzzle game speedruns as of late. That's fine though, I'm not uploading videos to try and gain subscribers, I mainly just upload videos that I enjoy making, which probably isn't very intresting to most. The fact that I have 100 people who /are/ subscribed to me is incredible to be honest, I never would have expected that many people to enjoy my relatively niche content. I guess it just goes to show that if you make content that you want to make then you can always find your audience. =)
