What heat setting do you use for your iron?

I set it at the highest heat but be sure to test first, based on your batting

Does the spray wash out after ironing it

Yes it does. I only use and recommend 505 spray. I can't vouch for any other brand.

I've been using your technique for a few years now. I have a king that I'm dreading sandwiching. One problem I have run into with pieced backs, is making sure they are straight on the back corresponding to the front. No problem if it is a whole back, but I hate having a pieced back be a bit wonky once it's quilted and trimmed. I've folded it on a seam and tried lining that up with a front seam, but still seem to struggle. Any tips?

I never try to line up my front and back. That's way too stressful, LOL!!

Can I spray base a quilt and set it aside and pick it up in a month or so?

Yes you sure can. It works great!!
