I have a tad over 3 million miles driving. For a few years in the 90's, I worked for a feed co in Pittsburgh delivering brewers grain from Pittsburgh Brewing. It's a great bypass food, tough to store though. We didn't have any customers as far east as you guys, Somerset was as far as we would go. But, I will say this, of all the different types of people I have met over the years, the dairy farmers were the hardest working, most polite and professional of all I have met. You folks fit right in with that mold.

I seriously can’t get enough of these videos. I started growing up on a farm but then moved states. My best friend’s father was a care taker of a cattle farm all his life and I spent many days on the farm with them. Calving season was the most favorite time of the year. Then once a year my family and I would go help when it came time to castrate the bulls and then worm & vaccinate the ones that needed it. I’ve also always lived in rural areas where there’s nothing but farms. Thank you for sharing your life. I enjoy watching your videos and I’ve also learned a thing or 2.

@@mikecorning8999 Have to agree. Thing is though, living in Texas, I see way too many large parcels of property being sold by family members who inherited the land their generations before worked hard because either they want the cash or don't have the love for the work. Nothing wrong with not wanting to be part of the family business, but I believe if your kids want nothing to do with the business, they shouldn't inherit the land. They end up selling it and erasing all the hard work of previous generations. Either sell it when you (farmers and ranchers in general) retire to a family/company who can afford the land or sell it to a developer yourself and retire to the Bahamas. But don't give it to a bunch of ungrateful inheritants who just want to profit off the sale of the land! Damn shame to see all these family farms being sold to make money off companies who jsut wanna build a bunch of houses.

justin whitley - But you’re doing it to commodify these animals? That’s why they are there in the first place. They are your livelihood so of course you’d want to protect them. I don’t see how that ultimately good for the animals when they end up dead from your doing (ie. You being the reason why they are there). If it truly came out of a place of compassion for these animals you wouldn’t be in an industry that kills them. Seems obvious.
