I remember in the 90's spray booms with fans and air systems to force the spray down into the crop canopy, the drones should work even better in that regard.

I know in the Netherlands crop spraying is not allowed. Only when the soils can not be used for spraying because it is too wet then they can spray with a cropduster. That is only allowed for potatoes for phytophtora.

It s the same in Europe. Not allowed, but also not illegal. Some do it, some don’t. The main question in drone spraying is the concentration/dilution rate and the biggest problem is drift

300,000 agriculture drones spraying around the world. But not in Canada. Govt putting farmers behind the competition and costing farmers money. Steve Li at Auburn University has tons of spray drone studies. He is happy to share his studies.
