I used Goo Gone to remove paint residue on helmets i paint it didn't cause any problems with the paint but i did use PPG automotive paint & i wiped it lightly multiple times until it was clean, just a thought that this may work also

hi, I'm starting to get closer to the world of airbrushing on helmets, I wanted to ask you if you use solvent-based paints or water-based paints
@wickedartstudio8 ай бұрын
I use water-based paint.

What reduction ratio should I use on my sliver sealer for a 0.5 airbrush do I do 10% or go right to 25%?

I apologize for my late reply. Unfortunately, there's not a hard and fast rule when it comes to reducing your paint. There are a lot of factors that will affect how your paint will atomize and spray, temperature and humidity are the biggest factors, but there are other influences that have an effect on how well your paint will spray. As a base line, I would start in the 20 to 25 percent range with a 0.5 and go from there. You may need a little more reduction or a little less. Your air pressure setting will also have an influence. A higher air pressure setting will spray a thicker paint better than a lower air pressure setting.
