Great video Ashlyn and Tony as a retired poultry farmer in South Central Ky I say that chicken litter is definitely some good fertilizer 👍
@TonyPRohrer7 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s got some kick. It’s way to far to lug our dairy manure and a ton a litter gets more done than dairy
@johnlebzelter42087 ай бұрын
Cow manure smells fresh in Lancaster Co., PA, but chicken litter stinks like heck I think!!! I pass a poultry farm everyday to and from work and my gosh when they’re spreading it reeks haha.

Prayers, peace, and. Healing for Thatcher after having his wisdom teeth pulled. How long was he on soft food? Blessings!
@TonyPRohrer7 ай бұрын
He was on soft food for a few days but didn’t waste time getting back on the junk food🤣

Sadly many teenagers have 3 basic food groups: fast, frozen, and junk. Sigh. Blessings this Easter on you and your family.

I agree Ashlyn. That intersection has nothing nice about it. 😂

Along with the intersection just north of that

Question..why can't you incorporate the leftover food that you scrape up into the new feed? Isn't the leftover only 24hours old? Not being a farmer, I can't figure out why this isn't done.
@rohrerdairyproductions40807 ай бұрын
I thought I said it but maybe I didn't. We mix it into the heifer mix

Ok, that explains it. Many thanks!

The biosolids outfits use logger tires (tractor treaded) on the loaders because that stuff is usually wet when it's dumped. They still spin some, but get full buckets. Great video again! The moo doo and chicken poo smell like $! Only need K to get fertility for crops.👍👍
@TonyPRohrer7 ай бұрын
Those tires would a definitely been the way to go in this situation

It looks like tile on the surface under the feed. What are the reasons for this different material?
@TonyPRohrer7 ай бұрын
Plain concrete absorbs and sweats moisture worse than tile and over Time will start to erode. Tile is also a smoother surface to eat off of in the long run

Thanks Tony I sure enjoy your videos and appreciate your work ethics.@@TonyPRohrer

@@TonyPRohrer Is it worthwhile using porcelain or can you get by with thin ceramic in this application?
@TonyPRohrer7 ай бұрын
@@dhenschel4tile seems to work fine. Porcelain would be nice though
@dhenschel47 ай бұрын
@@TonyPRohrer I would think ceramic would break given the loader and truck traffic, as ceramic breaks so easily in the house, but as long as it works go with it!
