After the initial 10-15 loads I would suggest to pile up the remaining majority of the manure to let get it drained even more. Would be easier to load.

I thought the same. perhaps a Bulldozer would be quite useful in this task. I am very curious to know how they are going to get around this accumulation of sand in the coming years. maybe build a sump
@rogerwilson98925 жыл бұрын
Yun interesting the sand bonds with the manure like glue and when spreading it putting the sand back into the field well if a person could pump down to the sand let it set for a while it would set up like concrete if pump all liquid manure out.

Did the mixing work for you properly in 2020? Do u know a manure seperating system? You could feed the machine with the wet dirt, bring the solid manure out with your spreader and leave the liquid manure in the pit. This way you would save a lot of fuel with your loader and tractor, since you had less solid manure.

Do you have a manure management plan that you have to go by in Canada? Wouldn't be beneficial to have a pad of cement outside of the ramp then you wouldn't have to fight the mud ? What are the pipes in the pit for ? Depth to know how deep the manure is in the pit ?
@saskdutchkid5 жыл бұрын
The pad would cost extra money, Those pipes are to pump the maure into the pit and its 10 feet deep and 175ft by 175ft!

Why not load the spreader in the Lagoon itself? will the tractor not pull the loaded spreader up the ramp? I understand that angle and the spill Factor in the wagon coming up the ramp it just seems like it would be a lot faster to load 3/4 loadsin the bunk than a full load out of the ramp.
@saskdutchkid5 жыл бұрын
I think it would be pretty hard on the tractor and the wagon. Also since I was hauling it a couple kilometres it was worth getting a full load.
