Great video, Steve! I liked the added commentary helping explain what’s going on for the non-racers amongst us.

Ah great to have another video. Looked like a fun track. Don't be too hard on yourself. You really know how to push that Spriget!

Hi there - just subscribed and this video popped up. I live about 45 minutes from Blackhawk. My son and I drive our Morris Minor there to see vintage racing! Friendly venue - that even has great food! Great info on your channel - we have a RWA Midget too!

I started racing at Blackhawk Farms in 1975 with a right hand drive yellow 61 Bugeye in HP with Midwest Council and later SCCA. Always had at least 20 and sometimes 30 Sprites to race with at BHF. Your vid brought back great memories. What were your best lap times? What were the fast guys doing?

Those ‘locals’ have stripped down cars for full racing. Your car is a historic car in the style of British cars of the 1960’s - 1980’s with standard windscreen, hardtop etc. Those locals have cars built and developed to USA style and standards with aero or no windscreens and definitely nothing above the main body other than a roll cage. That is all I can see from the video but if the rest of your car is of a certain age, then maybe that is why they were a little quicker? This is not a criticism, far from it, my car is similar to yours, but ‘frozen in time’ and much the same as it was raced back in the 1980’s. I know mine would not be competitive against cars that had been continually developed during the following decades. Good luck and I enjoy your videos and am envious of your cars and garage workshop. Best wishes from the Emerald Isle.
