Spring Barley 2024: Winter WOES... But There Are Promising Signs...

There’s no shaking the fact that it’s been a pretty challenging winter for farmers up and down the UK, and the wet weather has meant that this year’s spring barley has been planted considerably later than usual.
But what impact has this had? And what does it mean for this year’s crop? Well, in the first update from our spring barley variety trials site of the season, our Agrochemical & Technical Director David Cairns answers those questions… and it’s certainly not all doom and gloom.
