Fascinating. I didn't even know beavers dug out dens.....obviously I'm not a trapper.🙂 I'm just here to learn something I don't know, and it may be useful one day in case we have land flooded out.

If I’m just getting into trapping - and have focused on your winter ice trapping stuff but this series has made me realize I really need to spend a bunch of time trapping in the spring when you can SEE the dens and runs more easily - do you then kinda keep tabs on these spots over time and know the consistent den sites and runs in future years?

Hi just interested in your traps. Could you tell me when you set a trap you put 2 sticks in. Say trap number 2 you put a stick into the bank. Then a stick to hold the trap and then a stick crossways. What are the 1st and 3rd sticks for?

Do beavers travel on the bottom? I mean say you're in a creek and you put up a dive stick, wouldn't you just put 330 right under the stick and not put it way on the bottom or does that depend? Maybe i'm just making it confusing

i need tour opinion ,we are going to get another dozen leg holds, we have been usind duke #4's but want to either get bridger#5's or ts85's not much difference in price .what do you think ?

A few different ones. Duke, BMI, Belisle,.bridger. i prefer the Belisle over any of them though

When I lived in Minnesota . I trapped for the State Highway dept. As a nuisance Beaver trapper it was cool they would contact me tell me where the problem was. I would go in trap the Beaver get paid and open the dam myself.

We say "Ay" here a lot. A blanket is a reference to the size of the beaver i caught
