@@And-sn7nt turkeys are so smart and they see in color. Plus are very in tuned with THEIR territory. So anything out of place they notice. It takes so much patience to hunt turkey, because you move they see you. Smallest noise that isn't normal to them and they're gone

Thanks for being a “turkey geek” Steve. This video is the episode that convinced me that I too am a turkey geek and that a guy with an “average budget” could and should do a “grand slam” if he wanted to badly enough. Ultimately, this episode is responsible for inspiring me to do my own “slam.” Thanks also for being such a good representative to the public of what hunting and consumption of wild game are all about. Say “hey” to April Vokey the next time you fish with her and “keep fighting the good fight!”

Late-adult-onset hunter here, I am learning so much from your videos and I appreciate everything you offer us. I particularly like that it is not always a perfect hunting day every time. I love to see that even a very experienced hunter like you makes little mistakes once in a while (like that unloaded chamber!) and they don't get removed on editing. That is real life and it is great.

Yum. Too funny, when you pulled to a resounding "click" it made me think of a deer hunt I had. Crawled about 600 yards on my guts spot and stalk. My freezer was empty and through the excitement I eased the trigger and nothing. Good thing it didn't spot me. That deer was good eats! Hunting is always more rewarding when the freezer needs filling! I'm a way better shot when I'm hungry. Now how does that work hahaha.

Deer walked out, and my dad said deer. My son, ~14 at the time, reached for the rifle and caught a cram in his thigh. He is cramping and my dad and I are dying laughing.
