You should talk about student fights and what to do. One of our favorite long term subs was fired due to not breaking up a fight fast enough according to the school. Keep in mind he is 75 and is recovering from cancer.

As someone who had a Karen mother (the type who'd yell at clothing store employees just for putting her receipt in her bag without asking), I DEFINITELY knew and starting at the age of 8, just went around apologizing for her behavior to whoever she screamed at

My mom isn't exactly a Karen but everytime we're in a store passing someone looking at the aisle and we're going between that person and the aisle they're looking at, I'm always the one to say "exuse us" my mom never does...

@@ally1538 My mom was actually quite skilled in the art of not giving a @%#$... But it took a massive amount of effort from the receiver of no #%@$. She was always very polite and wouldn't be able to live with herself if she knew she had hurt someone. She was always the biggest supporter of the underdog. She had a very strong personality though, and quote a few men were intimidated by her. You know those masochistic males who cannot see any use for women outside of the bed and the kitchen... She always had the last say, their comebacks or insults would run out, which would send them into a rage 🤣 at themselves for being stupid 🙄🤣 Those would get no @&#%$.

Interesting that Tell said that it's encouraged to be eye level with the children... I have to say as an ex teachers assistant in a middle school, a lot of bad behavior and not being able to discipline comes from students feeling that they are one the same level with adults. This becomes clearer as they get into middle school and high-school

My husband and I got married on June 26, 2022 simply because I wanted to have time to do crafty stuff for the wedding, I wanted to do my r bachelorette trip to Six Flags Over Georgia when school was out (our last day was May 26 2022), and I definitely did not want to worry about my classroom prep time being taken up in July or having to use personal days for my honeymoon during the school year.😂 I was so stressed out planning the wedding last year that I had a freaking siezure out of nowhere. I didn’t even get to do much of the crafty stuff because, I was laid up the week before the wedding bc I had to have emergency surgery to drain a giant cyst that came out on my abdomen. Thank God for my sister (also a teacher) who worked on all of my crafty stuff and my Mom (former nurse) who drove an hour out to my house every day so she could pack my wound and take care of me so my now-husband didn’t have to miss work and could still take off for the honeymoon! The surgeon and everyone else were super surprised that I healed up enough to where I wouldn’t have to have the wound packed on the wedding day and I could go swimming on our honeymoon! ❤

I would genuinely watch it if an entire episode was designated to substitutes. There was once a sub in one of my classes who literally went through all of my teacher's stuff and reorganized everything (copies of tests, worksheets, etc). My teacher was livid when he came back and told the school to never put that sub back in his room.

My birthday always fell during teacher days right before school started. For years my husband took me to an office supply store for my birthday so I had the best equipped room in the school. People always wanted to know how I got the school to buy a small laminator, electric pencil sharpener, electric stapler, etc - no, none of that was common in the 20th Century. You better believe my name was engraved into all that stuff ‘cause it would for sure disappear. One year someone gave me a bunch of personalized pencils that said “Mrs Townsend’s pencil”.

As a 1980's kid, the thing to do was to go to the Jersey shore for senior week right after graduation. Catholic schools had the first week and the public schools had the second. Never go to the Jersey shore in June. Lol I thought they stopped doing that until my 11th grade daughter said that her and her friends were doing that same thing after graduation. I said "Oh hell no, I KNOW what goes on down there!!" LOL Love your videos. You guys are awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Hello I’m 14. My grandma is a bus driver for a different county I’m in so we had different spring break weeks. So for my spring break I rode the bus with her all throughout that week to help her keep the elementary kids in line. It was a lot of fun and me and the kids got along great. Some kids that didn’t like my grandma liked me a lot and vise versa. It sucked waking up early but it was fun talking to the kids. My grandma drove them for a semester and didn’t know all the names but I learned all them in 1 week cause I talked to every single one. School ended a week earlier so I rode with them for the last week of school and talked to the 5th graders about the middle school cause I did only 6th grade there. I even rode some 3 weeks of summer school with her just because I was bored. I didn’t talk to any one them though; they were elementary, middle and high schools all at one time cause their short on drivers.

The sun is so much stronger here in Florida. My first weekend here, my now husband and I went to the beach a few times over the weekend. That Monday I had to drive to fort Lauderdale (over a four hour drive). I hurt so bad. I had burned so badly that I was literally purple! I was covered in blisters and just hurt so bad (and I also had bronchitis). I must have quite the site for anyone who saw me, especially my boss lol

So this thing about “grown men couldn’t even handle the pain” makes no sense to me. Has any woman who has said that had a menstral cramp or worse given birth? Like my mom had a huge kidney stone (I don’t remember the exact size but I do remember they told her that she “broke the record” at that hospital) and they told her “ grown men had to be carried in on stretchers with smaller ones.” In general women were designed with i higher pain and crap tolerance
