I would like to point out that when using a calf jack, you can absolutely get pressure relief simply by lifting the tail of the jack. Id also like to comment that when using one I find it best too bring the chains snug while level and push down when she is pushing and lift back up when she reliefs. I may be absolutely wrong but in my experience this "jacking" action works way better and seems like less stress than just holding it level and "ratcheting" the calf out.
