Technology is always going to break down especially if maintenance is put off. Heck if I walk my dog in the park I still have to maintain my shoe strings or I might trip. Nice video.

In the US, wheel maintenance stinks. The railroads are now doing too much with too little. Inspectors are not properly trained. Law enforcement has no idea in hell how to get a train stopped quickly. When an automobile is struck, the railroads always make money off of the insurance and they always max it out. That happened when a UTA bus's transmission linkage came apart, stalling on the UP's Salt Lake Sub in Roy, Utah. The train hit the bus 30 seconds later---------------it was a real mess. UP made a ton off of that one. They stuck UTA's insurance for 3.9 million. UPS owned the freight.

You literally have zero idea what you're talking about. You're not part of the industry and are just making shit up. Fuck you for saying we're not properly trained. Car inspectors go through tons of training and a full apprenticeship program. Stop spreading misinformation on shit you literally know nothing about. From a 23 year car department veteran

Those cars are trashed. Why don't they use a big @$$ crane 4 point lift to a flat bed trailer and drive em away to be scrapped ? Seems like a bunch if wasted time shoving the twisted cars around before they're trucked off.

Their job is to get the rail back open, then the rest if cleanup is done

Because you don't understand the operation and as such your opinion is invalid.
