What a monster !! I was impressed with its performance given its size I have had more problems with some 4x maps than with this one. A few rough ends such as falling off the earth and crashing the game tried to puts some trees along the edge to stop me accidentally forgetting but got error about too many trees wil. Need to get the increasing mod for trees should fix that problem. Some roads are unfinished with rough edges and humps where there should not be but not serious. I used courseplay on it just fine for some of the odd shaped fields. It would be interesting to see if this entices someone else to have a go at such a size. Could fit a whole county of England in a map this size ha ha ha

Another good and honest review, thanks FSG! I will never play this map, simply because it doesn't fit my playstyle and because I'm not sure my pc can handle it well. wow great review and i just tried out this map today and i really like it, partially because i am from North Dakota, now living on Minnesota side of the Red River and do work in Agriculture but as others have said this huge map does run really smoothly! I do believe this will be one of two of my go to maps for a long while! its really cool cause i actually do know the area somewhat i pass through there fairly often and the map really represents it well!

I love the idea of this map and I will be downloading it as a single player challenge. Shame that it isn't an Australian version 😕 😉😁 and that I'll probably have to upgrade my 2nd generation Ryzen 5 CPU, Ram and SSD's capacity to really push my Asus X370 ROG Motherboard. While we all know that a new graphics card will just have to wait until prices drop further and see if I can fry my RX580 on this monster of a map. Well done to the designer(s) of this map, I finally found a realistic map that will probably be my new favourite after FS19's Western Australia 4x sized map.

Nicely presented FSG and you do a great job of showing what is out there for everyone to use if the person wants to I know the limitations on my laptop so I would never play on anything larger than 4x map but I enjoy seeing what map maker’s can do which I find interesting and if the people who say you shouldn’t show maps like this don’t understand that your community it’s just for one person it’s for all to enjoy with different capabilities I personally really enjoy seeing what can be done with the game. If a chicken farmer makes a serious error, does it result in a flustercluck? This map is a) bonkers and b) utterly brilliant!.The brilliant bit has to be the coding - something this big shouldn't run. Not "run smoothly", but "not run at all". Giants' new Engine has reolved most of the memory leak and buffer overrun issues the previous one enjoyed, but with a map, and therefore the data calls, of this magnitude, it will outrun the memory fairly fast. Whatever they did to optimise the map is probably some South American Black Art, because maths gave up in tears!

I played on RP server on 16X map's size and usealy all players started from delivery serveces - cause almost all old players wan't take their purcheses from the shop, and first several hours you play in Truck simulator. Waiting 48X48 =)

This looks crazy!! I know some say it’s way to big which it is big. But you could just take a small part of the map. Place down some sell points, using shop delivery or anything to get the equipment to you. Also, won’t be using any 3m or 6m equipment

Great review,sadly giants engine is to old and it is not build for maps of this size,yea map would run but performance would be really bad. Main problem is that engine doesnt support data streaming,option that is built into almost all big triple x modern game engines like Unity,UE5 or Cry Engine,Farming Sim engine is ancient and lacks many modern features,they updated few things trought the years but basic skeleton is still the same with the same old bugs like bad scaling on modern hardware. Even with the most expensive hardware like i9 and rtx 3090 game would still lag on many maps,even on the basic giants maps if you put 10 tractors or any other machines game would lag and stutter like crazy,which is clearly a problem with the ancient giants engine,we all know that i9 12900k and rtx 3090 configuration is capable to run even the most demanding games on 60+ fps in 4k resolution...but not the FS 22 lol,i think that giants needs to step up,get rid of this ancient piece of code and go for something modern like UE5 or write a new engine.

I want to love this map, but there is this horrendous flickering of vehicle textures -- the decals seem to z-fight with the models (yes, on stock vehicles). I can't find a way to fix it, which means this map is sadly not for me -- it's too immersion-breaking.

You can use the lslands feature in Courseplay to create courses that avoid them, it was working well for me, but of course I've not tried every field.

Hi Peter, I doubt it as Giants don't support bigger maps just now, that's not to say it won't happen, but they don't distinguish between PS4 and PS5 so unfortunately you guys with the more powerful consoles are limited to what will also run on PS4

This is the kind of map you use to build a community. Need feed for your chickens? I have wheat to sell you. Farmer A needs silage. Farmer E has all this silage he made from chaff ready to sell. Get tired of farming and amassed a good next egg? Sale the farm and buy a production facilty, and purchase the other farmer's crop and sale your wares to the stores. It would require a lot of dedicated players, but could be fun if done right.

Don't go to close to the edge at the south as it will crash the game, even without any other mods. That means you can't do any fieldwork on F167 or others where it's so close to the edge. Some map edge would be nice to see for once, so that the fields don't just end in on big drop for you equipment, forcing a reset. With a map this big there's no need to take the fields right to the edge.

Hi, it should work just as any other mod would, the only thing I can think of id that it needs a pretty powerful gaming PC to run it, and as Macs aren't really optimised for gaming there may not be enough power to run such a big map

It’s a mod that tells you how much seed/fertilizer etc you need for each field on the map, it’s called Field Calculator and it’s in the ModHub 👍

Best way to check is load it with no mods, if it loads you at least know that a mod is playing up, then it’s just the annoying task of finding out which one. Load them back in 5 at a time to narrow it down 👍

This would never run on console there isn’t enough power in the older consoles to handle a map of this size unfortunately

This happens a lot with FS22 there is a tree limit set by Giants, you just need to install the “more trees” mod from the ModHub

No, becuase of the size of the map the modder has left it for people to decide where they want to place things like buy points.

What I hate about these maps, is that the US is very square, so it'd be easy to implement the DEM into FS. But almost all of them are slightly skewed, so roads that's would be straight east/west or north/south are slightly offset. It's such a shame.
