I just love your garden videos Anna, thank you so much for taking the time to show us round. For garden channels I love homegrown garden - she has a very wildlife friendly allotment plot in Nottingham UK and Jeri Landers Hopalong Hollow - she has the most amazing cottage garden, inspired by English gardens but based in US. I'm just waiting for the endless rain to stop here in Northern England so I can get going with my garden, so many of my spring bulbs including my iris and crocus rotted over a very wet winter. But that's the beauty of gardening, you can always start again 😊. Much love to you x

I love the idea of painting plant names on the rocks 🥰 One of my neighbors has little wooden signs with plant names burned into the wood, which is cute and natural looking as well. This video was so inspirational for me! I moved to a new planting zone last year and had so many garden fails that I'm gun-shy about starting again. Hopefully I'll have more success with sticking to native wildflowers that (hopefully) won't get scorched in the hot Iowa sun 😅

I love what looks like a home made stick fence!??! How did you make it? Did you gather sticks from your property? Then dug holes for the stick poles? Did you use nails for the rows of sticks? Im so going to do this on my property! Im in the PNW and have very little sun. So, with lots of shade I have hundreds of ferns. Thats about all I can grow! Lol. I want to know about plant tags as well. I have a ton of rocks too and like your idea.

You would probably enjoy any of the programmes uploaded onto KZbin presented by Carol Klein or Alys Fowler. I am about to start filming my wildlife cottage garden here in Wales for my channel if you want to take a peek. I love Monalogue also and Claus Dalby's garden in Denmark is amazing! I bought slate plant markers for our veg garden which look really pretty

Getting further in the video😂I’ve recently came across clay plant tags, and you could even make them if you have access to a kiln (or search etsy, I think I’ve seen them there). In my area (I live in Hungary), dog-rose is my favourite native flowery bush, and we have some interesting native wildflowers, like woundwort, perennial flax❤, Hungarian widow flower (which has the most beautiful ball flowers :D) and the list goes on :))

Thanks for taking us along Anna! Cedar shims from the hardware store can be stuck right in the soil and last for a few years at least. You can burn or paint on the names. Aluminum tags work well for trees, they are available from orchard suppliers or Fruition Seeds. They last forever after you scratch in the names of the plan with a pencil. For other garden channels, check out Flock Finger Lakes, Alys Fowler's series called "The Edible Garden", Northlawn Flower Farm, Huw Richards, Native Plant Channel, Skillnadens/Sara Backmo, The Perennial Garden/Staudehaven and Over the Fence Landscape Tours.

Okay, Anna, you woke up my gardening bug. I don’t have a big property and most of my stuff has to be done in planters. So today we went to the store and got planters plus soil and mulch to supplement our small compost plot. Also got seeds for veggies and two hydrangea bushes. Still lots to do, but we cleaned out around our peach tree (which is putting out leaves - yay!) and planted some native wild flowers. Our iris are getting ready to bloom. We also saw our first ladybug!

I´m new to your channel. Isn´t it great how the sun and the first blooms in Spring can lift our moods? I love your excitement. I´m the same. You mentioned some of the channels I watch as well. Do you know Dainty Diaries? Oh, and I discovered a new one the other day: Dearest Garden. Most of my inspiration I get from Pinterest. I´m in Germany and one plant that grows here like weed (actually it is a weed 😂) are wild carrots. I have them everywhere (since I ignored them one summer 😅). But they look sweet in a bouquet with roses. And I also have Forget me nots all over the place. I acutally love self seaders. They bring life and movement in my garden. (And they are free.) Happy Spring! 💕🌱🌷🌱💕

For the main part of our fence we used concrete, but for the branch and bough fence we didn't use anything. Just dug them in about 2 feet. We have heavy clay soil, and it's served us well thus far. However, if you're blessed with better soil than us it might not be a great idea :)
