I wanted to bring in touches of Easter throughout this space while keeping it light and neutral. I also wanted to utilize a tiered tray because there is nothing sweeter for Spring. I hope you enjoy! I too have a cat . I used to have 3. The other 2 crossed over the rainbow bridge. I did get my first cat declawed and I will never ever do that again. They literally pull out the entire nail and so very painful for a kitty. I so regretted it. They do have double sided tape to protect the couch from cats. I also had a couple of scratching posts for them. I currently have a leather sectional that was quite expensive and no claw holes. I am able to trim his nails regularly myself and that helps. Love love your spring look! I have watched so many of your videos since I stumbled upon you. You have such a calming voice and I love listening to you. ❤ You and your family are adorable. ♥️

Suggestion for the cats which I did and it has worked. I placed scratch posts in front of areas they scratch and spray with catnip (I used Kong spray.) They claw the scratch posts (I refreshed the catnip as needed to get them trained to use them) and leave the furniture alone. You could of course remove them for filming or company. I would not declaw my cats. Love your channel so much ❤

I had a dog who ate one of my sofa cushions. I sewed up the hole and turned the cushion over. That’s how we learned she had separation anxiety. I love the way your home is decorated. We had all our cats declawed. And they could still climb trees to get away from dogs. We didn’t live in the country then. Now all the cats on our property have their claws. I wouldn’t do that to them. They are feral cats who lived here before we did. They do have a much better life now that we live here. I feed them and give them treats everyday. And I haven’t missed a day since we moved here. Well, I may have been sick. But then my husband will feed them. We’re both animal lovers.

Tiffany, you hit me with the ticking stripe pillow covers! I love ticking stripe in any color, but blue is my foundation color and has been for 40 years as a homemaker, even when it was not popular. If you put a 20x20 pillow insert in a 18x18 cover, it will fill it and make it look more professional and the best part is it fills the corners out and doggies tend not to chew those ends, my experience anyway ❤

We have 7 kitties and they scratch up the furniture. They have scratching posts, cat tree and we cover the furniture and they still tear up the corners. But it is what it is. I love my babies more than my sofa and when I gets really bad we buy another pre owned one. I love the spring decor! ❤️❤️ all the 🐇🐇 Have a wonderful week! (Sorry for the odd name it shows. u can get little caps for their nails they are pain free my groomer offers them luckily my boys only use their cat scratcher so I've not needed that but they don't hurt your kitty they last 4 to 6weeks and they just drop off with your cats natural nail growth ,my friend tried them on her cat as he kept scratching her furniture and fly screens on windows she said they wrk amazing 😊 And the decorating looks gorgeous as always 🥰

Looks so pretty!! Declawing is extremely painful for cats, and they hurt all their lives. So glad you’re not. I ordered the bathroom wallpaper. You did a phenomenal job!! Love you home. I’m in NH.

Get scratch pads for your cats, I get mine in Marshalls, really inexpensive. My cat took to it like a duck to water, never scratched my furniture or rugs again. 😊

Everything looks nice! Have you thought of using faux mirror paint on the window sash in the middle of your shelf? Andrea from Pine and Prospect Home did that to hers and it gives a nice reflection into her room.

My son has cats. He has scratch pads from Home Goods that he lays on the floor at the sectional and boy do they claw on those. Saves his new sofa. They are about an inch thick.

One really cool fix I’ve seen for tattered couches is embroidering beautiful flowers over where cats have been scratching - I could absolutely see something like that sitting right in in your very cozy home. It is also really important to note: even if there were a 0% chance that the cats could get out, it would be wrong to declaw them - it’s the equivalent of cutting off a finger at the knuckle! There’s a reason why states are outlawing this cruel practice.

We have a cat as well and we cover our new sofas with throw blankets and our cat Pumpkin 🐈 doesn’t ever scratch it. Just make sure the blanket covers the whole corners. Definitely works. I bought the little watering can too. I love how it looks on the tier tray. 🪴

I like your decor on the mantel. Please do not get the cats declawed. You said you won't, but have to tell you I did. Our beautiful cat was years later, shaking her paws on and off. She came home in casts, and I felt so awful doing this. They amputate when they do it, so has to hurt for awhile. Most vets won't do this anymore, and in NY

What work’s for me and having cats is leather furniture. Cats do not like leather and will not scratch it. 😊 I would never declaw my cats. Vets in Canada will also not declaw cats. You can get silicone caps to put on their nails to prevent scratching.

I hope no-one would expect you to declaw your cats! It's extremely inhumane and even illegal in some states now. Some scratches and chewed pillows are a small inconvenience for the love and comfort we receive from our pets.
