OMG, your hair and makeup looks so good! Makeup is so fun. During the move I've thrown away a lot of old, expired makeup, and I've only kept a fraction of what I used to have, but it's still a relatively large collection. I barely get to use it these days though, as I like to really sit down and spend hours doing my makeup if I'm gonna do it. And I'm also not gonna put on makeup to go cleaning toilets at work. :P Like if we're going out for a nice dinner or something, I will need a good 2-3 hours set aside just for makeup, and I'll put on music/videos and look up inspiration pics and really, really take in the whole experience, haha! There are so many cool, interesting and unique ways of applying makeup, all giving different results. I absolutely love that stuff. What I struggle with is hair, though. What hair products do you use? No matter what I do my hair is always super frizzy. And if I do apply enough product to get rid of the insane frizz, it gets greasy on day 2. I currently just use a leave-in conditioner and it seems to be the best for my hair, especially if I go to bed with it wet and let it dry horizontally so my curls and waves don't get pulled down by gravity. But even then it's usually either a big fluff ball by day 2 or flat and greasy by day 2. I'm starting to consider just embracing the fluff. At least it makes my hair look thick and full, haha! I've heard a lot about the issues with mouth breathing. Unfortunately I have the opposite issue: I cannot breathe through my mouth. Which becomes a massive issue when I have a cold and can't breathe through my nose. My mouth and throat gets so dry when I breathe through my mouth I literally can't sleep at all. I've been so desperate in the past that I've put on a face mask so the air I inhale through my mouth is less dry. I envy people that can breathe through their mouth. :P I also love Dr. Martens/combat boots. I've never been able to afford actual Dr. Martens but one day I will get a pair. Combat boots are the only type of boots I use here during the colder months. They're so convenient in showy/slushy weather. But zippers are a must, I do agree. I like Aurora's music too. You heard The Seed by her? It's such a powerful song! I think it's my favourite by her. She also seems to beautify every single song she collaborates on. My newest obsession is the one she did with Bring Me The Horizon. Never thought I'd hear her in a genre of music like that but her voice goes perfectly in it.

Thank you so soooo much!!! Honestly, I feel like I've been struggling hard with my hair. Ha a wwww moment the other day. I've been struggling with it being dry. And when I have good days, I can't figure out why. 🤣 And I'm quite impressed with the time you take, when you do your makeup. I think it truly is an art that can be expressed so many different ways. I mean, eyeliner alone, I've learned of the more crispy look I've been doing but I'm tempted to try different ways of applying it (like kohl eyeliner) to get a more smokey look. I don't think I could bear to spend that much time. I probably spend 20 minutes, 30 tops, but I get the extra detail that can go into it all and how one can really enjoy the process to the next level. Oh dang, you can't breathe through your mouth at all? That must be hard, especially with a cold. I have other issues sinus wise that I thought would make mouth taping more of an issue, but so far so good (?) 😄 They really are quite pricey. I'm kinda bummed I didn't go for the platform ones but alas, I must save my coin for another pair. Zippers are a total must. 😃 Oooo I'll check and see if I've heard 'The Seed.' She really does power well, in a way that's unexpected. I didn't know she crossed genres. I'm all the more intrigued!

Your makeup is on point! I love Fourth Wing and can't wait for you to read Iron Flame! I've read both books about 6 times and am in deep with the theories. I specifically follow a podcast doing deep dives chapter by chapter on both books. Would love to see your reaction to the Throne of Glass series. Unpopular opinion, but if you do read that series, start with Assassins Blade for it to chronologically make sense, if your brain works like mine 😂.

@@BeyondLoveLumos it's Fantasy Fangirls Podcast. They started their podcast last September and their first two deep dives were Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. So those podcast episodes started Sept 2023 and ended Feb 2024. They even have some Harry Potter stuff sprinkled in 😁.

Haha, you threw me with the mouth tape! I'd never heard of such a thing before, lol. I have allergies and my nose gets stuffy, so I know I'm a sleeping mouth-breather. Whoops I like the felt eyeliner pen from E.L.F. (also vegan and cruelty-free). I get it from Target for $3 :) hard to beat that price point. Another Fourth Wing fan here! I didn't like Iron Flame as much, which was a little disappointing, but I still want to see where the story goes/how it ends. Also, I was NOT prepared for the first book to get steamy! I had no idea it would have explicit sex scenes. That was an interesting surprise 😂

Hehe I hear ya. We have allergies too. The book gets into some great research and talks about how really anyone can breathe through their nose, but gets more on why it's so vital for our health. It led me onto research by so many others. Oooooo I'll definitely try that one! That's even cheaper than the one I got. Thanks, Alex!!! Very interesting! Seems we have some mixed opinions from all in the Discord group who've read Iron Flame. Curious where I land. I really enjoyed the first!
