Best lint is a tampon, compact, opens up to lots of dry fibres and comes in waterproof packaging. Should be in every firelighting kit. Yes natural foraged stuff is best but for when everything else is wet, it gets a fire lit.

It's your ignition switch pal. Normally I find in series 3 it's just a tiny bit of movement as your driving. It happens when you got many key's hanging off the ignition key. Try that, just a little wiggle

Replaced ignition, no change . Turned out to be a faulting 24v-12v converter
