Aaaargh! I've had scone issues in tea rooms as well. Including one where the girl took my order, telling me lots of things were sold out, and when I finally settled on the scone, after a long wait they served the last scone to the table next to me. I complained (no kidding!) and one of the staff went to a bakery on got me one. xD
