Not their best performance by any means. I think years of competing in open class has hurt their military style. Wondering why they don't just convert to corp they seem to like it better maybe?

@@ProfDenver No I never said anything about their performance was corp..read the comment. I said years of competing in open class has hurt their military style. They prefer to compete in open class especially since they keep getting beat in military class

@@nicsfan4ever well their previous director Mr.Kiser pushed these kids harder and it shows, not to mention they had larry ward (probably still do) but the fundamentals are not there anymore, there’s no kids in this band that were in Kiser’s band a few years ago, there’s no one to pass down the knowledge and work ethic he gave them.. but i do agree on everything you said 👍🏾

@@ProfDenver They competed in open class every year before there was a military state contest for UIL not talking about NAMMB before it became the UIL contest last 3 years.They went to state at the Alamodome for years and competed against corp bands. I honestly am tired of talking about this...these are my opinions. Have a blessed day

Great question. I am actually a part of this band. Our school has been military for decades and I highly doubt it will change. Plus we don’t have the money to switch.

From what I’ve seen, the problem our band has been the severe internal discourse that has occurred in the band since our old director left. We get new section directors every year because of many occurrences. We are a severely young band with 8 seniors and less than 20 juniors. Our entire band is filled with freshman and sophmores and there is a serious immaturity problem. Our attempt to March so many students also hurt us as we have over 20 students who spoil the overall band and cannot March well whatsoever.
