The coffee cake looked great! If you're light on rhubarb, maybe add in some diced up apple if you have it - I've seen that combo used often. And the surprise party was so fun to watch - the littles are so cute! I hope things are shaping up well for the prep for the season opening of the resort. Everyone looks pretty busy. Gurl! I lived in Anchorage for many years and lots of shippers wouldn’t ship to ANCHORAGE!!! I’d call a few shippers now and then and asked why not. Can you believe I heard more than once that Alaska is another country. Yeah. Uuuummm, no, it’s the 49th state of America. 🇺🇸 Wait…what? Yes, we are part of the USA. Fortunately my family lived in Seattle so I came down often and would ship up myself. I’m 💯 in support of shipping to Alaska shippers! We are not that remote anymore. You could put some caveats in the shipping but most things make it just fine. One day I hope to visit Pt. Alsworth. It looks lovely and has been on my bucket list since I voted for Jay Hammond read his book about Lake Clark. ❤

agreed completely! I remember my family shipping me a steering wheel for our boat to my college in Oregon for me to ship to Alaska because it shouldn't ship to Alaska...it wasn't even that big...so strange.

Add a ceiling fan upstairs near the top your stairs blowing downward if you can as this will help to push some of the heat back down to the lower floor. Maybe insulate your exhaust pipe a little better if it runs through your upstairs. Love y'all

We have a ceiling fan upstairs plus a large floor fan and a small shelf fan...what has made the biggest difference dow a days has been opening the window and putting the fan in front of it...but def can't do that in the winter haha

You covered so much in this video. First I wouldn't buy from them now just because it is ridiculous that they didn't tell you they didn't ship to Alaska but recruited you from Alaska. Bad business practices. At the beginning of the year my car ins, health ins and cable were all lowered. I was so happy.... then I found out we had an 18% increase in our electricity. All I could do was shake my head. But the positive is that the other discounts help offset the increase. It is the first time in 8 years that my elec bill was over 100.00. Then you say 600.00 and now I'm not complaining again lol. I wish I could come visit if nothing else to meet you and husband and taste all of your yummy baking. I am not a good baker. My Grandmother was amazing. I have been trying to make German pancakes for a few years now. I was about to give up but tried one more time. Today as a matter of fact. It was beautiful and tasted so good. It is enough for 4 meals. I need to see if they freeze well. Cheers

Oh yes I have a Russian creator I'm about t make her dumplings again this year. I use wanton wrappers. Baking is not my string suit plus I need time savers. N I make a bunch around now t use the whole pack of wrappers, n they last almost all year they are so nice t just pull out you can make soup or I ear mine with mayo n BBQ sauce.

I see you had Tillamook cheese and I believe the ice cream was Tillamook ice cream also. I follow a farmer from Tillamook Oregon, TDF Honest Farming. You might be interested in his channel, his milk goes to the Tillamook creamery.
