I welcome every plant in our house, like literally talk to them and tell them how amazing they are, then give them half a day and a night to get used to their new surrounding and while I repot them, I sing to them.. Just any tune that comes to my mind.. I didn't realize that I do that until yesterday 😅💚

I enjoy your videos so much! Thank you for them. I've always been drawn to nature, the moon phases, trees, and all of this. However, it wasn't until last year that I decided to turn my back on the religion that I was raised in, and embrace my true self. I'm in my 40's, it's about time! My husband, sons, and packed up and moved to a completely different environment, and this is my first cycle in this new life. In May it will be 1 year. I live in the U.S., and was in Florida, where there is no real seasonal change. It's like summer year round. We moved to Tennessee, in an area where we're in the foothills of mountains. While we live in the city, we're near so many state parks and woods! Woods with deep histories. This is my first year actually seeing how the seasons change! From the heat and green of summer, to the crisp and amazingly colorful fall trees, to the dead yet still beautiful trees of winter, and now Spring! The birds are singing after being silent for months, bright happy colors are taking over all of the dull grays and browns, and I feel rejuvenated. I feel.... alive! More than I have ever been! I've been walking in the woods daily, and with that, feeling so much healthier myself. I'm about to do a deep cleaning and cleansing in my home, and in doing so, in myself! Being new to this path, I've learned so much from your videos. I'm finally understanding the feelings I have always had, this path is the one that I am meant to be on!

I'm finally tackling the spare bedroom/ library in our house. Removing everything, cleaning the carpet, removing the wallpaper border, painting the walls, reorganizing the closet, ordering new book shelves and bedding and putting it all back together. I'm also downsizing books and other items. My mother in law and brother in law are visiting our home for the first time in the next month and I am trying to get all of my languishing projects done. In Minnesota we are still waiting on flowers, but the birdsong is here and I am loving it! Wishing a safe delivery for you and baby!

Spending time in nature (or botanical garden) is the best thing to do during spring, I think ! It's perfect for medidating ! I've also always been that weird girl that names her plants, talks to them and sing to them, not that I'm by any means good at taking care of plants (I'd say I'm average ?) . Otherwise, I loooove foraging wild garlic with my parents =) : it's our spring tradition.

Where I live if I opened my window or door to get some fresh air within thirty minutes my house would be swarmed with fly’s, gnats, mosquitoes, and lizards. Also my electricity bill would go from $95 to $300 because my air conditioner would be constantly running because its trying to keep a stable temperature below 74f. Because summers can get 34c- 40c or 93f- 104f.

Thank you for this lovely springtime video @thewitchescookery - I really want to get spring cleaning done all over my house and spiritually but I feel like I have 0 energy - almost 24 weeks pregnant and I feel I have none 😆 any tips ??
@Thewitchescookery2 жыл бұрын
I feel you haha at 24 weeks I was so out of energy too! I would just wait until the nesting instinct kicks in because then you will go in cleaning and organising overdrive anyways 😄

Thank you for another lovely, inspiring video! I have to admit I was amazed your little guy could eat his egg from the shell like that, but then, I never thought of serving boiled eggs that way when my kids were little and it's probably just part of culture/the way things are done there. The eggshell flower ring nest for your altar is such a fun, pretty idea! What are those paddles called that you used to mix the garlic into the butter? I've never seen those before, but they looked like they worked well.
@Thewitchescookery2 жыл бұрын
It might indeed be a cultural thing - we eat egg like that (usually with a runny yolk) in the weekends for breakfast - in German it is even referred to as 'Sonntagsei' (Sunday egg). But my little one is also a biiiig foodie so he figured out pretty early on how to eat any food really 😂😂 I think those things are called butter paddles - they are handy, so the buttermilk can drain away while shaping but not necessary - hands or a towel work too ✨

Lovely video thankyou once again. I to am a fan of the spring clean but for me I guess it feels like a never ending task and happen all year. I like to go on walks where I live the snow is still melting I like to see the transformation where once everything was covered in snow in now being revealed it is like a different place . Not sure it is ok or the right time to eat it but I like to eat Spätzle at any time of the year 😄 but mostly I love to make Spätzle in the spring time as my recipe has a lot of eggs and fresh herbs ( do you know it / like it ) I guess you would.. being a specialty dish of Germany. I bet you are probably the Spätzle master 🤣
@Thewitchescookery2 жыл бұрын
Hahah oh it definitely is a never ending task in my house too - but at least in spring I feel mentally ready to tackle it 😅 oooh Spätzle are soooo good!! I love them too - unfortunately, this is one of the dishes I don't make often and one of the very few I prefer in a restaurant over my own creations 😄 I am not a fan of sticky dough hahah

WHOAH!! Wait A Minute ! U Just Made Freaking BUTTER n 5 Minutes😨 HOW????
@Thewitchescookery2 жыл бұрын
It really is super simple! Just whip some heavy cream until it separates in butter and buttermilk and then wash the butter in ice water. Takes less than 3 minutes if you use a mixer. And you can flavour it with herbs, garlic, salt, honey, etc. ☺️

There is just something so cozy about your videos. Lovely. Did you make that butter out of heavy cream ? I want to try that.
@Thewitchescookery2 жыл бұрын
Thank you - that is exactly the vibe I would like for my videos to give off 🐣 and yes, just whip heavy cream until it splits in butter and buttermilk and then wash the butter in ice water. And make sure it is heavy cream - not a low fat version. I put salt and wild garlic in mine 🤤

Is there somewhere you have shared or go over your homemade butter recipe and process?
@Thewitchescookery Жыл бұрын
No - but it is pretty straight forward: take some heavy whipping cream and whip it until it separates into butter and buttermilk. Drain it. Wash the butter in cold water and you are done :)

Do you have a spell for world peace? That sort of seems in demand right now. I know you need to stay focused but current events are fairly pressing. Certainly those taking in strangers can use a spell to help with groceries.
@Thewitchescookery2 жыл бұрын
If only I had one! Personally I prefer mundane tasks in hard situations so to help with the refugee crisis is my little local spell - and I like to put some magick into the things I bake for the people arriving to cheer them up at least a little bit 💛
