Thank you! I’ve been visiting for 4 decades now, it’s like a family farm to me. All of us are blessed by the hard work and forethought people had. It’s truly a Southern Indiana treasure

Lots of fond memories! I went to school at West Washington. The last day of school always meant our bus drivers took us to Spring Mill. My parents and grandparents took us, too. I, in turn, took my sons. I look forward to taking my 2 youngest grandchildren. If you've never been to the Tri Kappa Candlelight tour, you really need to take your family! All the places are open with demonstrations inside. There is lots of music all over the grounds. It's a fun filled day and night you will never forget! It is always the middle of September.

Always my favorite, and with so many fond memories. Trips with my parents, cousins, friends, dates, I can see all of them as I walk the paths of Spring Mill. 🙂

Have you been to the Tulip Trestle in Greene County. Or known locally as the Viaduct. My Grandparents, Father, Aunt and Uncle's just about all on my Dad's side of family played around it or on it. But it is something to see.

I’ve seen pictures of it, but have never been to the Tulip Trestle. I’ve kicked around the idea of a train related video, featuring the long tunnels, bridges, old depots and tourist trains, but haven’t gotten very far.

@@AdventureswithRoger You should go before it rusts away. It's getting pretty bad. But really something to see.

I spent considerable amount of my childhood at Spring Mill with my grandparents. I love that place. By the way, the Granny White House still has the damage upstairs from an Indian Attack when it was located at Fort Ritner. I remember my GGM telling the stories of when her mother stayed there.

Thank you Roger, once again you've managed to show all the best bits of the village and showcased the spirit of the place. Very well done. We are all fortunate who live close enough to visit often.

My family ran the souvenir stand for 20 years. Back then it wasn’t in the village. It was in a small building by the playground before you reach the village. I spent all my summers there. Every day :)

A real gem and my favorite state park! My Mother took me there and I’ve loved it ever since. Took dates there, neighborhood kid to go caving, always a go to place to decompress! They annexed Cave River Valley and I hear it’s an undeveloped, wild marvel. Hope to get there this year.

One of my absolute favorite places to visit in southern Indiana. Wonderful memories of family reunions, school trips, and taking my own kids and grandkids here over many years. Spring Mill has it all for a history and nature enthusiast. Enjoyed this peaceful video tour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My favorite Indiana park, hands down! I recently filmed the new ramp to Donaldson Cave and the Twin Cave boat tour. With a great space museum, pioneer museum / grist mill, and village with a gentle stream, it’s an amazing visit!

@@AdventureswithRoger same here! My favorite park as well. It’s funny, I have a daughter who’s husband is career Army so they’ve lived all over the USA and even Germany. When she was a kid, we took her to all of these historical places. So, just the other day I sent her your video about Harrison County to remind her of home. She was like “NO WAY Mom, I watch Roger’s videos all the time! “ She also uses them to teach her young children that she homeschools about Indiana! We often have these Mother-Daughter moments but this was great! Your work documenting our beautiful place we call home is truly making an impact and we’re very thankful. Looking forward to the new film on Spring Mill! 👍👍

@@indianamichelle7216 A few days ago I toured Wyandotte Cave, for the first time in about 25 years. I’d forgotten what an amazing place it is! The big cave is a 2 hour tour and like visiting an underground city. Simply huge! They are re-doing their marketing, but it should absolutely be touted as an Indiana gem, up there with Spring Mill.

@@AdventureswithRoger I’ve been to all of our local caves although it’s been several years with exception of the newest one, Indiana Caverns. I saw your coverage of it and it looks great. Planning on taking my grandkids through it this summer. I’d have to say that Squire Boone is my personal favorite for the incredible beauty and the Harrison county historical factors. Pretty neat that Squire lived there and is at eternal rest in the cave!

Eventually, I’ll post a video about the features of each show cave. I especially like what they did with Squire Boone Caverns, since they expanded the tour: so much more things to see, and the dramatic lighting just makes it!

Bonnie Ayers: thank-you for the compliment! I really enjoyed filming this segment, and part 1, earlier this year. My Mother took me here and it changed my life, I hope everyone can visit Spring Mill and get something good out of it. I’ve been very humbled by people that can’t make the trip anymore, but say it’s the next best thing. It keeps me going in my pursuit to film Southern Indiana, in all its glory!

If you can make it over the first little bridge, at the parking lot, it’s all flat, all the way to the village. Then there’s another little bridge that crosses the water again, to get to the mill and other buildings. However, I think the mill is the only one that now has a ramp to the first floor.
