Design-wise, I think Ver.3 is the best. In basic view, Ver.1 was nice too after they alter it with tules, etc.

from the descriptions of the dresses, they are all strips of LEDs (the first and third dresses had white while the 2nd had blue LEDs) that are controlled in up to 25 channels by the processor on the back. The design also mentions infrared leds and radio control, so based on daito's previous videos the dress will probably make patterns and pulses to match music at a dance. Whoever is hosting the dance would probably be responsible for the extra effort of sending music to the dress (having a mic on the dress would react up background noise), so it's more of a celebrity dress than a consumer dress. The best application would be a music video.
