You should have a two week retreat every year and teach people how to cook simple and live simple. I bet you’d have a waiting list! It would also help you in your garden. Show people gardening. People bring their own camping set up! So basic yet so helpful to each other.❤

When I was 11-12 my parents opened up a bakeshop called Good Loaf Bakery. My parents worked extremely hard and so did I. I worked at a farmers market selling baked goods. while my dad slept in the van. Working in the heat in a bake shop is not for everyone. My parents eventually gave it up and moved with me across from Ontario to Vancouver Island, Canada. They were exhausted from the years of working long hours at the bakeshop. One day I was in the van and my dad and I were driving back from a farmers market. He started to cry and became very irate as if he was breaking down. As a 13-year-old boy seeing that I didn't really understand. Now I kind of do. He was stuck with mental health problems which I inherited. Mental health issues are real. I found the bible later on in life and it changed me from the outside in. Thanks, Isabel for your videos. I watch them every time you put them up. They bring happiness. I hope that when we comment on the videos, it gives you good emotions. Cheers.

I imagine that it is challenging to create these beautiful videos weekly. I assume that there's a lot of pressure to keep them interesting. Just know that you are like an old friend that we come to visit. You welcome us in. We sit down, share a meal, or maybe take a walk, or do some work...just the daily things that are our lives. When it's over, we thank you for your hospitality and take our leave, looking forward to our next visit. Just know that it's your company that we seek. Take the pressure off. Friends are happy to see each other whenever they meet. No need to fret. 😊

Finding you and your channel has been Heaven sent. It’s re-motivated me to be myself, live simply and be so thankful and happy for it. And heal my body and my diet. People tend to long to go back to simplicity and a natural lifestyle, guided by their own lighthouse. It all comes back to simplicity and self. It’s what makes us all special and unique. Don’t ever lose your unique spark ✨ so special.

I am so grateful for your work and creative output. Watching your videos made me look at my life and think about how I would like to create it! Now being at a University makes me so miserable to sit by my laptop all day long, unable to live "with Earth". You allow me to stop for a while and remember what surrounds me and that I should live with it more! I want to build my own Tiny house in the future, live more sustainably, and be grateful for the world's beauty! I am greeting everyone who is reading this, all around the world! Hope you all have already found or will find your place on Earth and are spending your days happy and fulfilled with peace and gratitude! Big hugs and greetings from Poland! 🌈☘🌷🌱🌳🌻🌼🌾🐢🥦🍉🍅🍍🌏⛰🌞

I can't believe how parallel our lives are. Almost every time i watch you, you are going through the same exact things I'm feel and experiencing at the same time. This has been one of the hardest years of my life. Actually ever since my father past away in 2019 then the world seem to fall apart with him being gone then covid my mom having dementia, so many building projects delays in permitting. Just drama for the past several years. But Mostly I just wanted to say thank you Isabel. Sharing your life the ups the downs but you just bring to my life the simplicity that I long to get back in my life. You are a breath of fresh air. I love you. Your spirit is so precious. Thank you for sharing. You are simply the BEST!!! 😊I'm sure your parents are so proud of you. You will have such a legacy to look back on and what you have done and brought so much joy in so many peoples lives. Again I say thank you. And I enjoy every single video. I'm 61yrs old now. I use to live more simply and that's my goal is to return back to myself.

Wow - i feel you 💚 I live in Switzerland in the mountains. Getting out every morning, moving and feeling nature feels so good. Cleaning everything up in spring, giving away things you don't need, letting go and creating space for something new gives you a lot of energy. I love your videos - thanks for sharing. A lots of Love from the Swiss Mountains Miri

You say you are not good at buildiing, but I have to say you are not bad either! Infact, the way you go for it and keep on going when the going gets hard only helps you get better at it. I mean you have built buildings that gave you a place to live and create that is something amazing. I am refering my son to this video because he is struggling with depression and I think a lot of the advice you give here could be helpful to him. Thanks for sharing!

Ahhhhhh! Thank you Isabel! This is one of my favorite videos so far. I can totally resonate with all of those feelings with the onset of Spring. It has come to be my favorite season for those exact reasons. It always feels like a new beginning to me. Every single day in the outdoors, things are changing, awakening from a long winter's nap. Spring in Wisconsin is a long slow process which includes more nasty weather than all of winter combined! However, it also means that summer lies ahead and all the joy that accompanies it. I've challenged myself to get out EVERY day this Spring to enjoy nature and film the daily changes. I can't wait to start working on this video! Watching you cook and bake are so incredibly soothing to me. I do not share the love of cooking, but watching you make it look so easy is a true inspiration. Enjoy this season, Isabel. I know I will! Easter Blessings to you and Logan.

Mulch the heck out of your garden to suppress weeds. We used fabric row covers over the soil the first few years to block out weeds and after you get the weeds down they don't come back as much so mulch works good after that. You can use plastic row covers too and those last a couple years or more if you take care of them. I'm planning my garden and I can't wait until I can get my plants in the ground!

Hi Isabel, wanted to let you know how excited I was seeing the title of this video, and clicked to watch it immediately! Spring Rituals for the New Year is so much more positive than Struggling, Regret and Saying Goodbye, which I couldn’t watch for almost a week! I’m not trying to invalidate any feelings you have, and I know your videos are quite positive. But, because of things happening in my life and emotions I’m dealing with, I see a title where there’s loss… and I just can’t. So thank you for the Spring Renewal and the title made me want to watch immediately! 🌸

A few days before Persian New Year (Noorooz which means New day) also the first day of spring. We have a celebration in which we make huge fires and jump over them. Saying to the fire I give you all my 'yellow' and you give me all your 'red'. Yellow meaning paleness or weakness maybe and red meaning strength. Its a powerful and beautiful way to purify your energy before the new year

hello from Persia. no need for more words just sincere praying for bless and love. dear Isabel "Khaneh means home and by Tekani we mean basic (deep) cleansing". the profound meaning refers to that we humans should clean (refresh) our soul from impurities, see the facts in everyday life and live the truth so that the pure beauty will blossom and spring of our lives will come. thank you :)

7:59 I have thought this as well. "Ancestral" is a great way to describe it. Making bread the old way connects us to centuries of our ancestors. So does planting and growing food. The funny thing is, these things have only faded from society in recent decades. Sometimes the old ways are better (like cooking in cast iron).
