That's the thing about springer fishing-you get a day like this one, come up empty. Go at it again tomorrow and it will be limits by lunch. Honestly, it doesn't matter how good you think you are at it when it comes to springers. It's never automatic and that's why it's so addictive. Nice video and boat ride guys.

Salmon can be in the channel from Spring thru Fall. When the Columbia is open most fishermen head out in the big river or go to the mouth in August when the Lower Columbia is open.

Classic middle windshield. I finally had ‘‘em put plexi in the middle. Caught that fish on the Rogue with a green herring. It was huge.

Some days they just don't stick. We also noticed a lot of smaller fish that day and they also have a tendency to not stick to the hook.
