Great Lakes steelhead fishing during early spring 2014, using centerpin gear. Join us as we land some beautiful steelhead, and a surprise river beast! Most action came on spawn bags, and a few on jigs.

Best put together video yet IMO, great angles and better fish! Mr. Rick there was on fire! He even dodged a blatant attempt to slap off a Trophy brownie! Great Job!

JB, I showed up to work at 0500 this morning and to my surprise I saw that you had uploaded a video. This was another one of your works of art for sure. It looks like you guys might be coming out of your deep winter freeze. I will try to send some of our 80 degree weather your way. Great job on some really nice fish. Steve

It sure feels like spring is in the air up here Steve! Looking at the extended forecast, I think we should have a nice push of fish coming soon. Stay tuned for more videos!! :)

"Spring" I was thinking this musta been one of last year's videos for a second. We gotta be weeks from spring still! Nice joke. Regardless, nice vid again JB. Like Flyboi mentioned, how about some set-up, tips/tricks added in the prelude or halfway for education sake. Love seeing those hooksets while I'm sitting in the office. Hope to see you guys on that river in 2 weeks. I'll be shorebound though.

How do you determine the depth to set the float?
@ConsummateSportsman10 жыл бұрын
Keep setting it deeper until you see your float go somewhat sideways in the water when your bait is dragging bottom. Then slightly adjust your float to keep your bait a bit shallower so it's running just above bottom. In winter, your presentation should be within a foot of bottom to get the best results.
