👍👍a lot of deer and elk which was good to see. We have a long deer(whitetail) season where I live and we have a liberal bag limit…… 3 bucks a season and a doe a day but I have many more days that I don’t shoot something than days I do and I still enjoy those days just as much. Like you said that’s why it’s called hunting and as I get older I’ve learned to appreciate all the days I have out in the field. Thanks for the video.

Wow that weather was something else and catching all that wind was crazy. Nice herds of deer and elk but unfortunately no bears. Not a total loss with plenty of wildlife, makes for an exciting hunt, even though the bears didn’t want to come out. You’re lucky to live in a beautiful state like Idaho, never been there but hopefully someday I’ll make it out your way.

I personally feel that high winds puts all game species on edge. It greatly diminishes several of their defense mechanisms. They are better off finding some hole to hide in and wait for better weather.

I've never had much luck on baits if it's super windy or storming. However, twice I've seen bears either show up directly after a storm or during a break in the weather. If I hadn't stuck it out I wouldn't have seen them.
