This Summer (yes it’s coming), build a patio with patio slabs in front of the Dining room Window so you can routinely drive the Kabota up there and clear the snow away from the Window.. it will require clearing after every snow so it doesn’t build up like it does. It’s just a suggestion but it will help prevent a disaster for you. You should be sponsored by Kabota. Your tractor is a survivor but you had to stop and repair a John Deere.

Trent and Allie, take it from this Canadian who lives outside of town… you have to keep your roof’s clear and around your buildings cleared ( especially around your propane tank and windows) throughout the winter not allowing such a build up. It’s not easy but as you see, definitely necessary. God bless 🥰🇨🇦⛄️

A little late but a easy way to remove the snow on the deck that has fallen and built up is with a long wood hand saw and sled. The saw will cut through the ice and snow like butter into large blocks then just flip them onto the sled and haul away! Slow going but easy work! Keep up the great content! Namaste

I've lived in snow country for over 30 years and there are way easier ways to move snow by hand. You should really get a single person crosscut saw and cut blocks of snow and then use a snow scoop to push the blocks off the roof or deck. The saw does a good job even on hard snow and ice along the drip edge from the roof. You could have pushed all that snow from your roof to the driveway side and like you said use your blower to move it from there.

That is a lot of snow. You are right about the record-breaking year. You almost need a full time team of people clearing snow and hauling it off. It may take months for all of it to melt and dry up. It is Unbelievable. They do make Stair Heated outside carpet that keeps the snow melted along with the Patio roll on carpet. That is used a lot in the Swiss Alps at Resorts to keep walking areas clear of snow. They get 20 + feet at times.

In Europ we had almost no snow this winter and there some glacier where they put white tarp on that the snow and ice are not melt so fast. So I thought maybe a black tarp could be a support for melting snow on some spots. I hope my English is okay enough that you can catch my idea.

I had to watch this twice. I clicked on the notification a minute after it showed up but didn't want to comment until I watched Leo in the window again waving. He is adorable and made my week better.

You are all doing a phenomenal job of removing the horrendous amounts of snow. The mountain is a beautiful place to live, but I'd be outta there. Take care.

I honestly couldn't live in a snow fall region. It certainly takes hard work to survive. I just hope someone is taking some amazing snow scenery photographs.

Also I’d like to say somewhere a few years ago I read that removing snow by hand places you at the highest risk of heart attack because the work is usually much harder than expected and raises your heart rate to more than double what it should be. Be safe you guys.
