Gotta love getting new gear... A buddy & me were talking the other day.. I was always into fishing, he got into other things (for a nicer way of saying it). Long story short, I got him into fishing. Been pulling split rings off of most my hard baits and using tatical anglers power clips! Or owner pro parts all purpose snaps. Saves time tying knots and quick lure changes. Thanks for the tackle review!

Not sure if you ever tried this or heard of it being used in a pinch but was in the mountains a few months back, didn't have bullet weights for my senkos, so I used a weighted swim bait hook with the screw tip. Worked perfect especially for the senkos with the hook hider slots in them

I have about 5 or so of those Berkley Warpigs. Unfortunately I haven't used them yet but from what I'm told by people who have they work very well and they swim nose down so they come through a lot of stuff really well and don't get hung up as much because the nose deflects off objects. Hope to try them out this season...good luck with yours!!!

Nice score brother- just got a new kayak myself. Haven't been able to put it on the water yet but think I'm gonna love it. It's the lifetime Yukon 116 and from what I can see on line it's a good kayak. Not the best but, it competes in the 500-700 range pretty well imo. They could've laid it out a bit better- the accessory rails are down by your feet when you're seated. That's great but, I like to have accessory rails right beside the seat to for accessories like a bait table and the roto paddle grip. Not only did they not have rails by the seat, they didn't leave a flat spot so you could add your own. I can modify it though- with a backing plate. There were also a several screws and pieces missing but- that's more Wally World's fault than Lifetime's. I'm gonna call Lifetime and get them to send the missing stuff- and let them know Walmart isn't doing them any favors. This thing had a wasp's nest in it when I got it home man- Ginny wasps, hundreds of them. What if I had of put it on the water and then opened the access hatch? They would've swarmed me, I'd of been swimming for it. It's missing the hook for the access hatch closure, the little tie down piece for the seat strap, the cli[p for the bungee that holds the seat back up while on the water, and there was no paddle. Walmart is the worst.

They're on back order so it's gonna take while for them to arrive but- I have a previous kayak that has the stuff I need so I just borrowed from it. The only thing I don't have is the tie down bar for the seat but, it's not really necessary- there's several other things holding in the seat so it's a redundant design.

Yeah these days oval split rings should be the standard for hard baits out of the box. TW has been sold out of the size 3 Owners you recommended in a previous video so I wasn't able to order any of those. Instead I tried a pack of the tear drop ones VMC makes to see how they compare. I've put them on some baits but haven't fished them yet. They seem like they should work well but we'll see. Definitely wanna see what you got in those Xzone and Grande Bass boxes!

Split rings don't matter to me i attatch a decoy snap directly to the eye on the crank just ignore the split ring because i switch cranks alot more efficient

It's exactly as you said: with round split-rings there's the chance of tieing your knot in the split, with the oval it can't happen. Give me the ovals every time.
