I had Pond Prowler 10 for a few years, and here are some of the things I have learned and mods I have done. I run a 55 trolly on the back and sometimes a 34 on the front. No matter which one I put on the front, I have to have a rutter on the back, or it will spin, making boat positioning impossible. I run a 10 in humminbird and I felt like it would be too much weight to attach to the plastic. I built a console out of a small board, which sits right in front of my seat. I am still looking for an anchor system that I like, and I have tried a few of them (scotty anchor, anchor wizard, and just a divers reel). Rod organization is another challenge for me. My favorite, at the moment, is a kayak crate I had lying around with hold holders. I have converted it to a battery box where I also keep a spare motor blade, lights, etc. I have not attached any tracks to it yet; I don't know what I would attach to them at the moment. I am looking at Yakattack's horizontal rod storage options. They may fit the bill. Getting cluttered on this boat with tackle for two, net, and gear is easy. My best advice is to keep it as minimal as possible. :) Good luck.

I had a boat just like this one and it was an awesome fish catching machine. I added one rod holder on each side and a little fish finder, mainly to show temp and depth. I also had a little anchor, but rarely used it.

Nice video! I have an issue with my Motor Guide trolling motor not sitting vertical on the front because of the front lip on the pelican raider. It has to be one slot forward and Is a pain in the butt. Does not look like you had an issue with the Minn Kota. Already added the plug to it so can't return it. Thanks for sharing!

I have a Bass Raider as well. The trolling motor in front for sure it’s easier to pull than push. When I come up to the bank or dock to get out I pull the trolling motor up and use my paddle to glide right in. I have no trailer so when I load it in my truck I have a piece of rope tied to each handle at the front of boat, then I stand on tailgate and pull up and walk backwards to pull it in the bed. I like to take a lot of rods so I made a rod holder and bolted it to the back transom since I don’t have an outboard motor. Then on the top of each side of the boat I installed yak gadget flex rod stager rod holders. Yakkity Mack is the guy who did the video on the rudder that you’re looking for, he used a trolling motor bracket and a kayak paddle for his rudder. I don’t have a rudder right now so can’t comment. Fishing with Jett raised his front seat 7 inches and I did that too and really like it. My legs would get stiff and cramp up after so many hours sitting at the regular height. It’s so much more comfortable. So these are just the mods I did that work really well for me thanks.

I would put some seats in it. Is there a way to add a trolling motor to the back? We had a Jon boat with front and rear trollling motors and it made an amazing difference in maneuvering and holding a position.

It came with seats... I just didn't have them in. A second trolling might come in handy for some bigger water, but I can't see me needing a second for the smaller ponds. Appreciate you watching! 👊

I personally own one of these boats. You don't need to change the wiring at all its perfectly fine for what you want to do with it, I run a 55 lb. trust and runs perfectly but you will want a rudder system of sorts to keep the back end from swaying We have a whole group of guys here in NJ that fish CRP tournaments on this style of boats.

It's way better to run the heavier wire like his friend suggest for more power and less heat. Run a long constant distance and it's very important.

You need a momentary switch so you don't have to turn the trolling motor on and off every time you move. TH Marine and Amazon sell them. Easy to install, just cut it in to the hot wire.
