I like the Here & Now deck, I don't think I've seen that one before. When it comes to my journal, I found that typing alot of the information (or readings), printing it out and glueing into my journal along with some writing works for me. I think it's so easy to get caught up in the idea of what other peoples journal look like that we just give ourselves a hard time for our own journals. it's really an expression of our feelings and thoughts, i have to remind myself that this is "my" journal and even though I share it, it's really just for me.

I don't think Kael's decks are very well seen in our online community weirdly, but so cute and versatile too. I use it for spread creations too occasionally. I agree, our journal working for us is the most important thing. I couldn't afford to keep up with mine print wise atm. I write a silly amount some days lol. But perhaps I may consider printing off some key bits to include. =)

Loved seeing your spring deck pairings and really loved seeing a peek at your journal. Sounds very much like how I use mine: just a common journal where I can dump whatever, whenever. Just the other day, I did a few pages of simply swatching my washi tape collection. I also just finished a coloring page that I'm gonna paste into it. And then I have freewrites, tarot readings, cards/notes from friends, etc. It really does take the pressure off not to have a strict schedule or theme around journaling!

Thank you. Your journal sounds super chill and fun too. I love the idea of washi swatches. I feel like it's been so freeing having this approach and I've already written another tarot reading in it. Plus it's felt like some accessible artist expression. Super small but at least I get the joy of finishing it without being in agony lol.

Thank you for sharing your journaling practice. I'm in quite a similar position in terms of ability and this video helped me to realise that a new journal I have started is perhaps a bit ambitious for what I can manage. Fortunately, I'll be able to adjust. But so often the mind is more ambitious than the body can handle! I hope your new journal turns out to be just what you needed.

I can really relate to the mind being over ambitious for the body. It's hard as I feel we're constantly making adjustments, and what mine can do one day will differ the following. But we slowly try to grasp the familiarity of that flux where possible. I'm glad this helped and you'll make adjustments to ensure you continue enjoying your new journal =) I'll definitely share how mines going further down the line.

I think the same here. I only wish it was a tad smaller or thinner for my hands. But the photography really speaks to me.

I enjoyed seeing these pairings (the French deck with the Roots & Wings was my fave) and also seeing your lovely new journal. I have grabbed a bunch of spring decks out but have been too unwell this week to do much work with any of them so far. Thank you for sharing. x

Just love these pairings Tee! Forest Lore & CC - chefs kiss 💋 The Twiggy Tarot is soooo grungy! How do you find not having an English guidebook? And the sticky rose petaly finish has stopped me from trying this deck even though I find it visually pleasing. Oh you make me miss my Somnia! I adore the imagery but at the time I just found it too depressing and moved it on. I don't really do seasonal decks coz my mood is multi elemental 🤣 but love this practice. Current decks out for me are Forest Lore, Thoth (my non-negotiable), Circle of Doors, Leonora Carrington majors. Mags' Tree Whisper Dream Traveller has just arrived and it is a mood! Connected straight away. Happy Spring my lovely 💚🙏🌲

Thank you lovely. I’m so into my pairings lol. I enjoyed this so much, and usually I don’t do the seasonal approach either, so I totally understand. Speaking of mags tree decks, the one I have goes really well with somnia. I tried it before filming this. Great match, but that deck didn’t feel very spring and I already had a bunch. The French deck isn’t rose petal like the roots and wings, but otherwise the cardstock is similar and still grabs onto each other a bit. I don’t mind the guidebook as I find it massively readable without. But most newish phones also will take a pic of a page and allow you to copy and paste the words, making it easy to paste into google translate. I don’t bother, but I’ve tried before to show others. I love the selection you’re using atm. You and your Thoth are super bonded right? I feel like seeing it out in the wild is something that inherently makes me think of you now 🥰🥰 Happy spring to you too x

@@cosmic.creeper you must have Mags' first edition, the autumn deck and God yes, that would be perfect with Somnia....as would this new one, which has a muted, vintage vibe - again autumn / winter, lots of snow. I do love my Thoth - it took many years! Having it fully trimmed made all the difference. It's also indestructible - just kept with a hair band around it, pops in my coat pocket and we're good to go. Love that it makes you think of me 🙏🦊🙌

@houseofhag yes, that’s the one I have. It’s suchhhhh a match up. The new one sounds glorious too. I’m still not there with it. Mainly due to the majors and half the courts, but it’s definitely indestructible. My step mums copy is obviously worn as it’s her only ever deck, lifelong, but it’s hung in there like a champ. Impressive. I miss old cardstock lol. 🖤🖤

Wonderful pairings, some nice surprises. I will try the somnia with whispering words as I don't have the one you have. I really like the idea of using a word alongside the somnia

I just looked up whispering words as the name wasn't familiar. Seems like the perfect pairing, very similar style to here and now, so that's cool. I hope you enjoy trying them together. I love that the oracle doesn't feel overbearing or in challenge with the tarot.

The Victorian fairy tarot 😍 one day. I love the Le Tarot Aux Ramures Etranges & roots & wings is *chefs kiss.* I highly recommend the Seashell Oracle. Originally I was more drawn to the mushroom oracle but I fell for the seashell one hard & quick. Somnia is profound and I adore that deck. I’m thinking of purchasing the illustrated version however I’m still undecided for now. Loving your pairings!

I know it's coveted by many. I wonder if she will have more for sale once her kickstarter copies are out in the world with their backers. Isn't the Ramures Etranges & Roots just wholesome. I love them. That's really good to hear you recommend the seashell. I do still have some kinship to them from childhood but I don't live near nor visit the sea much as an adult. It does mildly frustrate me some keywords and repeated, but as there are three, I can overlook. I do have another deck that does this lol. I'm glad you enjoyed the pairings. =)

These are excellent pairings - the Somnia and Memento Mori are so good together, and its making me wonder if the Somnia and Antique Anatomy would work well with the Somnia being the focal as a one card pull, and the Antique Anatomy around it. I think both Froud's Faeries and Antique Anatomy are both so good for the liminal months. Any transitional season.

I could imagine the Somnia and Antique working well together as one is so spacious, so the way you described the pairing sounds good to me.
