it's always a good idea to get into the filterfeeder regions during times of poor water qualtiy. we deal with a lot of meltwater and runoff from the roadways this time of year and the water quality can get bombed out with much less precipitation due to the amount of meltwater. filterfeeders not only provide structure, forage, they'll clean the water. incoming tides will give us better water quality. they can also give us warmer water in certain situations, but that's a longer topic of discussion and a phenomenon we won't experience until the sun is stronger, 2-3 months from now.

Funny you should talk about this. I guy I know catches 30 inch bass at mid night . March 1st in New Jersey. It drives me crazy I wish I knew where.
