I think the eggie clothes should've been a separate video since you technically didn't "haul" them. I started getting confused between which clothes were yours and what was from other brands too. If you worked so hard on your line, I think you should dedicate entire videos to them instead of mixing them in with other clothes.

I love Eggie!! But I wondered if you can do haul videos without Eggie pieces? Eggie drop videos are really cool, but when it comes to haul videos I was hoping it'd be what you got that month that you're really excited to share with us (I'm a big fan and often re-watch your haul videos in the past before you launched Eggie). From my perspective featuring Eggie pieces for most of a haul video feels like advertising... which isn't wrong anyway, it's your clothing line and your video, but this is just my opinion re what I'd like to see!

Ahh, I'm sorry you feel that way, but in the future, just expect there to be Eggie pieces in my haul. This is my clothing line and I'm going to continue to promote my brand. We have been working on this collection for so long and I'm truly excited to share it with my supporters.

I feel bad saying this, but I kinda feel the same way. I've been a huge fan of Jenn Im for awhile and never hesitate recommending the channel to my female friends. The hawking of Eggie in a haul video (which we, as viewers, would like to think are 'objective' recommendations) feels fake; like the salesperson who pretends to like and care about you but really just wants to earn her commission. Some of my friends who are also subscribers have been a bit turned off as well. On the other hand, if I started a fashion line I would be similarly tempted to make use of my ready base of followers to increase sales. So even though I can't shake off that feeling of being I don't know, manipulated? exploited? I'm also trying to understand that its normal behaviour for a person who's trying to run a business.

Maxine Zhao yeah agree. I really do like Jenn a lot and she’s truly one of my favorite KZbinrs. Top three for sure. Being honest though, I don’t like her response to this comment. Seems kind of like “hey too bad, i don’t really care if you like or not, it’s my clothing line and I’m going to promote it.” I totally get that she will heavily promote her line (duh), but there are good and bad ways of doing that. This was a bad way and I wish she just left it at that instead of saying what she said.

Your clothing line is amazing and I know it's your brand and you want to promote it, but having an eggie drop video and also having a haul that features so much of your clothing really feels redundant. I think even having a separate just eggie haul would be better just so we know what to expect from the get go. This feels like luring people in with the promise of a haul and then advertising all your own content.

I've been watching Jenn's videos since the beginning and I don't mind the Eggie hauls at all. She designed all the clothes in her clothing line and a haul video is just clothes that the youtuber likes. The clothes she designs for Eggie is literally an embodiment of her style. Plus you don't have to buy the clothes from her line if you can't afford them, just use them as inspiration. I'm just saying, everyone's so quick to hop down fashion youtubers throats for self promo or sponsorships but that's how everyone makes a living here so chill..........

zombie_zoha If you're talking about the Eggie prices you have to keep in mind that they are expensive for a reason: because they are ethically made. Fast fashion is cheap because the people who make the pieces of clothing are severely underpaid. I think that if you are looking for clothing that is truly well made you can't expect to pay two dollars for it.

Hi, I study in fashion design and here are some facts that people don't necessarily realise you have to consider when fixing a price: When you have a clothing line, you have to pay for the time passed on trend research, designing the clothes and on finding and choosing fabrics, buying them, the pattern maker, the fitting of samples and corrections, the cutting of the fabrics, the zippers/buttons/threads/rings/chains/elastics/etc., the production, the shipping and transportation, the company/name legal parts, the marketing team, the technical things like developing a functional online website and online payment (with credit cards that take a certain percentage of your bill), losses, and many other things without forgetting that she also has to make some profit. She's not Zara who passes orders of thousands of pieces by months, which allow them to have a discount on production, reuses the same patterns many times and has a lot of customer. And even them they charge the same amount for a hoodie, sometimes even more, when it really only cost a quarter of the price to make, maybe even less. So I think that the prices are really reasonable. She's always reviewing quality products and talks about the thickness of the fabric, the solidity of the seams and its sustainability overall, so she is not going to sell us some poor quality pieces. Slow fashion is a commitment and yes, you get less products for the same amount of money spent in H&M, but they will last longer, and that makes you buy only clothes that you know you will not get tired of wearing. So even if it is not made locally, there are still costs that will add up to the selling prices of the garments. If it was made in USA, believe me, it would be way more expensive... I hope you better understand now why her tops cost a "big" 30$.
