Cornelius and I went out to my Black Forest, to celebrate Spring Equinox.. the returning of the long days. Had a wonderful time out there where adventures are made. Good food and showing some new stuff I've made.

A great video! I too made a couple Hedeby bags, one from linen, one from wool. I love them both! I recently made a smaller soft leather one, I am still testing it. I do like them to open a bit wider so I can get my hand in and out more easily. Still, I use them all and love them! Your videos always transport me to wonderful places. Thanks for taking me along!

Got my Arinn firebowl Saturday. Built a fire in it as soon as I could get it together. Made a warm carob drink first, then fried an egg. I did have some trouble with the slots in the pot support being just a hair too tight to let it fully slide together. Some folded wet/dry sandpaper rubbed in all the slots opened it up just enough I so I can get it together and get it back apart. Have cooked another meal on it since. I like the way woodfires cook! Makes the food better. Hopefully, a little later, I can get a fire anchor also. Looking forward to getting a lot more use from the firebowl. So glad you invented it!

Great video as usual, it's great that you can enjoy an early spring. Here we are still minus 0 Celcius and although some snow has melted, the ground is still covered with snow for quite a while. Our real springtime comes by in May and we celebrate on the 24th of June the feast of St-John the Baptist as our national day and more less summer solstice. Maple syrup season will start pretty soon if it is not started in some regions. Cornelius takes his job seriously, he cleans everything up after the meals. Thank you for sharing that foretaste of springtime. 🪔🏔

First I'd like to say I received the Arinn Fire Bowl and like it very much, have already used several times and it works great. The burning of the sun wheel was very fitting for this traditional celebration. Cornelius is his mischievous self, snatching your firewood and just being a good companion. The leather work is amazing as always, the bag is beautiful and the stone sheath as well. All your craft work is first rate as shown. The meal looked delicious, fire roasted chicken in the forest, yummy! Of course we can't forget the signature Cimbrer coffee😉 Great video, well done and presented as usual, thank you. Hi Tom, thanks again for another wonderful video! You made a beautiful bag. I've been thinking for a while about making a small version for my phone, so it stays a bit hidden with my historical outfit. I already made one which turned out pretty well, but the handles were made of plywood and therefore not suitable for re-enactment. That's why I'm considering making a new one out of fabric instead of leather (since I don't have the right tools for leather). It will be a fun project! The chicken you cooked looks delicious! Hello Brother Tom@CimbrerBushcraft , It is good to see you are doing well Brother . It was done just happen to come out this way . We lived in our old trailer house and when we bought another I had them put it in line side by side with the old trailer , Only keep them about 9 feet apart , Now on the Equinox the morning sun rises right between the two trailer houses . It was all just luck , But both equinoxes it is the same . I thank you Brother for all you do , And thank you for allowing this old cripple to come visit with you . Stay safe my friend .

Another relaxing video. Thanks! I really like the way you put pockets in the Birka bag. I made one a few years ago and did the same thing only I hung the pockets from the bag to wood attachments so I don’t have any extra stitching showing on the outside. Keep up the good work. I received the firebowl and love it. I had to enlarge the slots for the pot holder so I could put it together but that is a very small thing.

Cornelius is almost 16 months old 😁🐕👍🏻 and turning into a great little companion. I look at the surface of the chicken 🍗 and can tell when it’s cooked properly … just how dark it is But better to be safe than sorry … so about half an hour should be enough 👍🏻🍗🔥 Tom

laughing found a pile of dog library sticks we have a community box we put books in take one and leave one book next someone put a box of sticks for the dogs to take lol how a few dogs drop the stick they have and take another one the next day they drop that stick off and take that one the had before home to a couple of time we have rubber ducks trades for a ball too lol and they do check up on the google pee text too to their and reply to the messages too
