Love having your little man crank down the the boat trailer. 😊😊😊 And OMG! What a great idea using your remote in your bow to bring your your boat to the dock. I can't remember seeing the Columbia that calm. Which reach were you fishing? Looks like 10-15 mi upstreamfrom McNary. LOL. And the age old adage holds true again, if you want to catch fish, take your child with you as the kid will way out fish you! 😊😊😊

I love the whole video. One note about safety though is that I didn't see you or your son wearing life jackets at all. He was standing up on the edge if the boat waiting to net your fish, and he wasn't wearing a life jacket at all. A person only drowns once. A fishing trip losing someone makes terrible memories that last a lifetime, instead of good, safe memories. Hope you think about this on your next trip out.
@Pacific_NW8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your concern. Rest assured, he is wearing a life jacket! It’s under his coat so he has better mobility, as it can get pretty tight with the coat zipped up 😁 7:15
@HillbillyJayy8 ай бұрын
Ok, I just I couldn't see anything on the video as far as life preserver being worn. Now, I'm thinking maybe it was one of the blow-up types that work via using a Co2 cartridge. You didn't mention if you had one on buy that your boy did. I'm just so safety minded is all, and i don't want to see a fellow outdoorsman, especially his boy drown because there's no fixing that if it happens Ask me how I know. I lost a cousin and an uncle of sorts to drowning, and it was 2 separate occasions. A person misses them as long as she person lives and there's no bringing them back and both times it was totally preventable was the sad thing.

You’re gonna want to throw back any resident fish you catch in the Columbia, especially lake Roosevelt. The latest is that it’s several times more polluted by Canadian mining waste than originally reported and it’s slated to become a superfund cleanup project.

Hanford’s radioactive pollution adds to the toxicity to resident fish as well.
