Looks like a fun adventure. I go out with my two littles but have yet to find an area more open like thst and not covered in ferns,shrubs and salal. What general area of the state do you do? Ive gone to GPNF.

So many pine mushrooms!! What a lovely son and daddy!! I never find matsutake except one spot. But that spot is next hiking trail. I can't see any longer. Would you tell us which mountain area?
