Gert, have only seen their 12 year Cask Strength, Batch 21. Has 4 way finishing: sherry, bourbon, burgundy and port at 56.1% ABV. Love it with that touch of red burgundy. Glad I grabbed another bottle. Cheers!

I can only imagine how much it will cost now. Batch 25 is available at 155 euro. Not sure if I want to pay that before at least trying it first. But it is g good price.

@WhiskyLoversSociety Very good price. Would go up to $US 200 for a 12 year CS SB now. The Batch 21s were about 4 years ago and $110 here.

I have only had Batch 15. I bought two bottles. I decanted half of it and still have a full bottle. The neck pour was absolutely unique. Never had any whisky that tasted like that. I loved it. Dark and brooding. After the neck pour it changed significantly but I still found it very enjoyable. Saw another bottle years later while traveling. It was $200. I passed on it, as I had paid $95 for my earlier bottles. I just don’t feel right paying so much for a 12 yr old even if it’s the “illustrious”Springbank. Can’t say I have much experience with the distillery. I’ve only ever had one other expression which is the older black label 10 year old. To be honest I didn’t like it. I thought it was an odd one. I gassed it and have half of it left. This was a good while ago and I haven’t gotten around to it since but it’s possible I wasn’t seasoned enough to appreciate the nuances of such a farmy ,funky scotch. I’ve been on this scotch journey for a decade. Perhaps I will enjoy it more when I revisit it.

Great review Gert, it’s a great whisky, one of the best. So happy I got mine 2 years ago for £45 but I know it will be my last 😅 too hard to get now really for a good price here, cheers!

The price should be £68/~€79 to £75/~€87... but you have to be in exactly the right place at exactly the right second, very quick online, win a ballot or know the right person! (I got a bottle of the 10 year old recently with a combination of the last two and have a tiny amount left of a 12 Cask Strength special from before the flippers unleashed their bots.)
