Gav, was very lucky to get a sample of the 9 year LB about 5 years ago and LOVED the oily thickness and touch of lemon and brine. Then picked up a couple of the Dec 2021 51.6 % ABV LB 10 year. Delicious.

Great stuff Gav, haven’t cracked the new release yet but will do soon. I’ve been fortunate to be able to purchase all of the Local Barley releases over the last few years and have loved them all, it’s the Springbank release I really look forward to each year.

Always glad to see people enjoying these. I really liked the tropical/funky notes from last year's 11 year old, but this year's bottling gives it a run for its money. Really love the balance between the bourbon/sherry in this batch.

Another excellent review plus a great comparison, thanks Gav. I was very fortunate to get a shop taste of the 11yo, and a month later there it was on the shelf, waiting for me. It will be opened and enjoyed, in time.

Tried the 13 at a recent tasting and agree it's superb. Shame I'll never be able to my hands on a bottle. Not paying auction prices.
